Mike Brown

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That is not the case. LeBron was open to playing for any coach (or at least giving them a shot) when he came back to the Cavs, including Mike Brown. Legitimately. Their relationship wasn’t bad. The org never would have hired Brown in 2013 if they thought it would hinder LeBron coming back the next summer.

The primary reason why Brown got fired was because Kyrie hated him. Capital H hated. There was concern from the organization that Kyrie would not have signed his rookie max extension if Brown remained the coach, which we needed Kyrie to do. First and foremost, that was the reason why Brown had to go.

Seems like the Potato Head may have had a better read on Kyrie than did anyone else.

JBB got at most 1 vote. May not have gotten any. Interesting to see who is and isn't on the list.

He didn't make the most hated list:

I don't remember that impasse at all! Do you recall any juicy specifics?

Three Cavs coaches in a row:

We know the players’ opinions now. We know because journalists from The Athletic spoke to 108 players, asked these questions (and more) and granted anonymity to allow players to speak their minds.

TIL that JBBs nickname is 'other'. Let em know!!!

JBB is young enough that not that many guys have played for him. Thibs has been pissing people off for years.

Carlisle used to have the same rep as Tibs, a coach who grinds down his players to squeak out a couple extra wins in the regular season, but was going to be out the door in 5 years once the inevitable locker room revolt occurred. He must have mellowed after beating El Heat in the 2012 finals.

Everyone's least favorite Nepo baby Stephen Silas (son of Paul Silas) is moving up the hated chart pretty quickly. Does he light his farts in the locker room or something?

Mike Brown has always been a "player's coach". He values buy-in from the team leaders and works hard to explain why he wants things, so that the players contribute. Usually works. Sometimes it gets a bit hokey though like telling Kobe to metaphorically bring a hard hat & lunch pail to work. Those metaphors were Soft!
