Barebones edition since it's already 5-29...
Pitching... Perhaps you'll get to see Doug Nikhazy starting.. or Cody Morris in a rehab... Tanner Burns has been having a very good season as a starter.. Cade Smith made a strong showing in the spring / early season out of the pen...I'll be at Akron 6/2.. last year I got a chance to see Rocchio, Naylor and Valera.... who's currently on the Rubberducks to keep an eye on?

Not much of a bar guy and I'll be with my fiancee and her two young children. So we'll prolly get just get some hot dogs at the game. Her 8 year old daughter loves the "Rubber Duckies".. got a shit ton of autographs last year. Rocchio signed her hat after one of the games.Pitching... Position players... Three names to consider.. Petey Halpin, Juan Brito and Angel Martinez.. None of these guys have the same gravitas of Rocchio, Naylor or Valera.. but, they're interesting, nonetheless.. Enjoy the game..
You might consider the Barley House or Brubakers Pub before/after the game..
Yeah I recognize a few names on the roster for SP and IF.. Brito and MartinezNikhazy pitched on Tuesday 5/30 so he is not going to pitch on Friday.
I am seeing reports of Cody Morris having been moved up to AAA Columbus to continue his rehab assignment.
Bryan Lavastida is the normal backstop & cleanup hitter for the team.
Angel Martinez is someone I heard a lot of good reports on but when I saw him on 5/24, I wasn't very impressed.
Juan Brito just got promoted to the squad after I saw the game vs Bowie (they have some very talented players on that roster). Brito was the trade return for Nolan Jones during the off season.
Petey Halpin was fun to watch but he had bad luck at the plate when I was there (rockets right at the various infielders)..
ThanksThe feed on milb is indicating the Tanner burns is scheduled to start on Friday night.
I don't know why it took them so long to promote him. I would have started him out in Akron and moved him down if needed. All his peripherals point toward being an advanced, high contact hitter. Now that he has moved up, Brito is probably the player to watch in Akron. Obviously, he is someone the org is esp high on.
Beginning in 2019, he has an .861 OPS across multiple leagues, has averaged just over an XBH per ten at bats, and has walked slightly more than he has struck out.
Being that his option clock is already ticking, he will likely be fast tracked.
Over in Lake County Ethan Hankins gets lit up today 6/2/23 - 1.1IP 6H 8R/8ER 3BB 3K(hey a silver lining) 1HR and 2WP.
Shawn Rapp comes on in relief and performs well 1.2IP 0H 0R/0ER 1BB 3K. As our last pick of the 2022 draft, his professional career is off to great start.
