@CATS44 and whomever else wants to put thoughts on my comments..
From what I can tell, guys who have stepped up this season for the minor league system that are...
Oscar Gonzalez... It feels like he is starting to put it all together.. Him finishing the season at AAA and how he does will certain make him a candidate for a 40 man roster in 22...
Alex Call is in the same boat as Gonzalez. His AAA time this season is really his shot for the pros in 22.... For a guy who is supposed to be an organization piece and that's it, he has stepped up his game.
Brooks is also another organizational piece who is proving he may be more...1B seems to be a legit ticket for him even though his RF stats defensively have been good throughout his minor league career.
I have a hunch both Call and Brooks get a spring training invite in 22 outside of the organization... Oscar can walk as well, so either he replaces Rosario on the 40 man or he ends up on another organization...
Benson has become a monster at AA so far... I know he does better second time through with a team type of thing, but these numbers are way different than he has ever put up before... Problem is do we protect him for 21 or chance him taken?
Brennan and Holmes both look like they are starting to become legit OFs, problem is what to do with Holmes who is rule 5 eligible.
Lavastida and Diaz are both proving they can hit and they are both rule 5 eligible I believe as well in 22. It would be hard to at least not protect one. I think we need to get both guys in big league camp if possible next season...
The numbers for Lynchburg, with and without Noel is huge... The question is, what to do with him since he is rule 5 eligible but hasn't played above A ball. I think it's too soon for him to be at the pro level, but in 23 with good health, he should be close...
Also with Angel Martinez, who is playing so well, I think Rocchio and Bracho arent both necessary to keep, so trading one I think would be the right move... But who could we go get?
