Minor League Week 15 Games Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Benson lifted in the 4th for a pinch-hitter. He walked and came around to score in the 3rd. Some kind of injury I presume.
Any word on this or on Lavastida’s status?

Pretty nice run of prospect pitchers today/tonight, with the exception of AAA which is the norm this year.

Captains win game 1 with a Valera walk off. He had 2 bombs in the game.

Friday game updates/ finals:

High A Lake County wins gm 1 of the twin-bill 5-4.
Captains rally from 4-1 to win it.
Final 4 Capt runs via long ball: Valera 2 run blast, Tena solo shot (back-to-back) in the 5th. Valera solo blast to begin the bottom of the 7th.
Valera (age 20) now has 15 homers on the yr. Tena (age 20) has 13 homers.
Both are R5 eligible after the season. I have to believe both are added to the 40 man roster.

Curry did not have an exceptional outing today...4IP...3ER...5H...6K...0BB...1 bomb.

He gave up a run in each of the first three innings.

More Friday game updates/ finals:

Gm 2 for High A Lake County has been rained out.
Captains will try for another twin bill on Saturday, gm 1 starting at 4 pm.. I have to believe Espino will start in 1 of the games and Hunter Gaddis starts the other game.
-----------------------------------------
AAA Columbus trails 4-2 in te bottom of the 3rd.

AA Akron leads 4-1 in the top of the 4th

Low A Lynchburg trails 1-0 bottom of the 2nd..

Allen, jr, is having a good game...

5IP...2ER (both solo shots)...4H..1BB...8K.

More Friday game updates/ finals:

AAA Columbus loses 5-4.
AA Akron wins 9-3

Low A Lynchburg trails 3-0 in top of the 5th after a lengthy weather delay..
-----------------------------------
Edit:

Low A Lynchburg loses 7-1

On the night CLE affiliates go 2-2 with a run diff of 0
On the week CLE affiliates are now 7-7 with a run diff of +9

George Valera has been some kind of hot lately. Akron on the horizon?

Jose Tena putting together a really nice year as a 20 year old SS for the Captains.. He has made only 1 error in 51 games (51 starts 437.2 innings) at short this year !!!! In other games, 3 errors in 13 games at 3rd and 1 in 11 games at 2nd..

Hitting 293/340/498/838 18 doubles and 13 homers.... Might have a little swing and miss to work out.. Is he on someone's Rule 5 radar?

Speaking of Rule 5... After missing a large chunk of time due to an injury, Steven Kwan has performed exceedingly well in Akron this year. As a lefty, his splits say he has no problem hitting lefties at all. If he keeps this up, as a "true" centerfielder you have to give rostering him serious consideration.

Maybe in a normal year Steven Kwan gets more of an opportunity for a 40 man spot but I am doubting it for this off-season.
Too many others need to be added in front of him.
Honestly there are 8 to 10 other players to protect ahead of him.

Can you see the Tribe opening more than 25% of the 40 man roster (10 spots)?? While I hope CLE makes 10 openings for internal options, I am doubting it happens.
