Other notes:
Both Akron & Lake County entered Friday night both in the playoffs. Both teams lost and are currently out with two games left two play this weekend. Akron can control their own destiny playing 1st place Somerset while Lake County needs Cedar Rapids to lose.

High A Lake County wins 4-0. They need Cedar Rapids to lose tonight. Cedar Rapids is leading 4-3 as they hit in the top of the 8th at Peoria.
Low a Lynchburg loses gm 1 of its doubleheader 4-2.

AA Akron leads 5-3 as they bat in the bottom of the 8th..
Low A Lynchburg is tied in gm 2 of its doubleheader 3-3 after 7 innings (so onto the extra inning rules)..

While its human nature to trash analysis that we don't like, caveats about Espinos arm action are a common theme, and have been since he was drafted.

There seems to be a trend towards shortening arm action.

Giolito did it several years ago, and Civale did it last winter.

In Giolotos case, the change brought instant success. His K rate soared, his BB rate dropped significantly, and he went from scuffling young SP to instant ace.

Its too soon to see how much Civale will improve, if at all, and the finger injury will delay the decision. But Civale and Ruben Niebla thought it was important enough to make the change.

Years ago, Thome did a rehab for the Bisons when they were in the playoffs and the opposing team was not pleased.
