Minor League Week 9 Games Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This seems like a bad faith and fallacious argument unsupported by any evidence.

I, for one, am shocked that you hold me to a higher posting standard than yourself.

Quick being a dick. Address the argument without the snide asides.

Don't be the guy who makes this place unpleasant both for other posters and moderators. That will not end well.

Ok. Post the rules and I'll follow them.

Read the moderator thread.

And look...just apply some common sense as well. If you find yourself getting in a lot of arguments that seem to get out of hand, then just try to figure out how to come across a bit differently. That applies to everyone.

Found it and read it the post from today. Thanks.

Well Cody Morris's stats were pretty good! 4.1 Innings with 12 SOs... Gave up 1 ER, 2 hits (one was a HR) with 1BB

I know it was the Arizona league, but I am glad to see him get off to a good start!

Yes, he could come in handy.

Can you give me an AZL Primer? I'm familiar with Tucker, Greene, Tolantino (HR yesterday), and Sanquintin. Don't know anything about the young pitchers though, excluding the ones on rehab.

Anyone?

Also, should I think of the AZL team as functionally the Mahoning Valley team of old? Or is it more a Mahoning Valley Short Season A/Arizona League Rookie Ball hybrid?

@BimboColesHair would be the best one for that, since he has the most/best info...

A Short no longer exists... So pretty much our drafted kids will likely go between AZL or Lynchburg...

Just FYI - its no longer called AZL.. its the ACL: Arizona Complex League. Teams in Florida are part of the Florida Complex League.

If your looking for info on that IBI and on twitter IBI Joe (formerly BRB). He is down there and at the games..
---------------------------------------------------
On other items:
Justin Lada on twitter has communicated the following: Logan T. Allen has been promoted from Lake County to Akron.

He also posted: RHP Jerson Ramirez has been promoted to Lake County
Ramirez was Lynchburg's closer to start the season and got off to a dominant start (13 scoreless innings) (31K in 22 innings, just 3 runs allowed).

Very exciting news regarding Logan T. Allen. The next wave of starting pitchers with him, Espino, Hankins, Wolf, Torres, Burns and others is really promising.

One thing that really impresses me regarding Jerson Ramirez is he does not give up hits. only 7 in 22 innings this year and over his career 77.2 IP and 42H. Excellent.

Logan T. Allen definitely deserved a promotion and I hope to see Espino in LC after a few more starts. Wonder where Cody Morris slots in down the road, AA is probably the spot.

He probably finishes at AA this season... I think he will be added to the 40 man in the off season...

The biggest problem with Rule V is that fans who’ve overvalued a number of organizational prospects will inevitably disappointed if any of those left off the 40 one day ascend to the major leagues.

That’s it, that’s the problem.

What happened to Rules 1-4?

Heck what happened to Mambo's # 1-4?

Is this a conspiracy?

Logan Allen up is pretty cool. Knocking on the MLB door soon.
Other than his MLB Pipeline write up, anyone got a stuff breakdown? Believe he tops off low 90s.

There actually is a rule 4 draft (the first-year player draft), but rules 1-3 have nothing to do with drafting.
