Seriously I didn't know that. I knew Stann said it was a 1 time thing ,but i could have swore i read somewhere Wandy said the weight cut was getting harder and his new home would be LHW , I could be wrong though.

Yep, it was later in the post fight show. They interviewed him and asked him specifically about it. Of course, he does have a pretty thick accent.....:chuckles:

But, ya, I'm 99% that's what he said. Damn shame too, there's a ton of potential great slugfest type fights there. I think he may realize any fight could be his last, and with the strength of guys at that weight, the odds increase greatly with him waking up to smelling salts being his last in-the-cage moment.

:chuckles: Yeah Wandy needs subtitles, He looked good at lhw but i guess the risk of getting knocked out is much greater there so that probably played a big part in going back down to MW. Tom Watson calling out Wandy on twitter that would be a good fight with a guy that would stand and trade with him.

Yo @wandfc, stay on your supplements at 205, or come back to 185 and get knocked the fuck out. You decide? Obrigado @ufc & @danawhite.

The thing I like about Silva(well, one of the things) is that he loves to put on a great show. At this point in his career, I think he realizes that is his best place in the sport right now. He doesn't realisitically have a title shot at any weight. What he does have is the ability to draw in huge numbers of fight fans at the gate and ratings. He knows where his bread is buttered and seems to be cool with it.

The Watson thing is interesting. Didn't realize he's been calling out Wandy. If he hadn't just knocked out Nedkov, I'd say it was wishful thinking. But, Nedkov is legit, so he definitely gained some cred there. Is it enough to bait Wandy into a fight? Not sure. But, it would be his biggest fight of his young career and seems like a great pairing, and possible favorite for Fight of the Night on just about any card. If he could pull off the win, it may spell the end of Wandy's career, but launch his own.

:chuckles: I didn't notice the guy get rushed by security yesterday , So long as they don't pair him up with Wrestlers, we know hes good to put on a show for the fans hopefully Joe Silva knows this. Maybe we finally get Vitor VS. Wandy II.

Edit: Holy shit at struves jaw

ya, I didn't see that the first go round, either.

Look at Struve's real name:

Sutoruvu.

Struve with some Hollywood name changing going on.

And, yes, I don't think a band-aid is gonna fix that face. Holy shit. Hunt has sledgehammers for fists.

Damn I'm late to the party but I'll do my best:

- Gomi displayed his most complete UFC fight to date and got robbed. I heard Diego was injured in training which made it hard for him to cut weight.

- I came out impressed with Dong Hyun Kim, Siyar was coming off a long lay-off but DHK showed good grappling and striking plus I just realized how massive he is at WW. Welterweight has a lot of monsters and up-and-comers that will be fun to watch as they climb the GSP mountain.

- Mark Hunt broke Struve's jaw in a walk-away KO. BOSS. Struve has got to be one of the most frustrating fighters in the UFC. He has all the physical tools but couldn't seem to put it all together. I think he needs to change camps (in the US maybe?), he's still young, he basically let Hunt punch him in the face repeatedly. Is it crazy to think that Mark Hunt has a legitimate call to get a title shot? #rallyformarkhunt

- I'm happy for Wandy, a true MMA legend and to win again in Japan has got to feel good. I have no problems if he decides to hang it up now, a perfect ending to a storied career. I'd like to see Vitor VS Wandy but I think the UFC is building up Vitor for one final title shot. Weidman will most likely get Anderson next and Vitor has a fight in line too. Don't know how they'll sync it. If ever Vitor VS Wandy materializes I'm afraid its gonna be late 2013/early 2014.

- I feel bad for Stann, probably the most likeable fighter in the UFC IMO. I am not confident if he can muster up a title shot but I'd like to see him fight. He brought it against Wandy and they delivered one hell of a fight.

- On to GSP VS Diaz, Condit VS Hendricks, Ellenberger VS Marquardt. OMFG this card is solid.

EDIT: Alistair Overeem injured, Mark Hunt asks to fight JDS! #rallyformarkhunt

It just became realer.

Awesome takes. Better late than never!

Agree on most everything stated. I was really disappointed with Siyar. I mean, dude. This is the UFC. Ya got to show up, bro. Looked completely disinterested to me. Not trying to take anything away from Kim, but damn, what a complete bomb by Siyar.

Can't say I see Hunt getting a shot at this point. Maybe I'm wrong, but he's seems to be a bit further down the list at this point. BUT, if the injury allows for it, you can't ever really count the guy out with his striking ability. In the end, though, I don't believe he has what it takes to beat the elite HW's. I think JDS beats him.

I love Stann. Always look forward to his fights. He'll be back strong. No shame with the way that fight went down. Love Wandy too. Hope he doesn't retire yet.

Didn't know about the Diego injury, but still disappointed me with his approach in the fight. Not a typical Diego fight at all.

The next big card is gonna be a blast. debating on whether to order it at the house and invite people or go up to my dude's bar and watch it. Either way, gonna be a great fight night.

Hey thanks Joe.

Dana White just said he won't put Hunt in against JDS. JDS VS Overeem will be moved at a later date (Summer).

Anybody seen the latest TUF? It's really been a great show thus far. WARNING SPOILERS in WHITE:

Hester was an absolute beast even when threatened with takedowns after takedowns. The coaches were spot on when they said that he can come up with hard shots from any angle in any position. He showed raw grappling though as he 'let go' of what could have been a sure win. Many may not agree but even if Quinlan was taking him down, it was Hester who was doing the damage. He reminds me of Munoz's ground and pound (strong body and head shots from full guard/awkward grappling positions). I think he deserves the Wild Card at this point as Bubba didn't really impress in his fight.

Sonnen has also been a revelation, his motivational speeches and coaching scenes are top notch. He's got a lot of career options once he's done fighting.

They had the conference call for GSP Diaz today. Helwani was tweeting during it and WOW!! I'm more pumped up. GSP and Diaz held nothing back and went at each other. Amazing.

According to Dana White Mark Hunt turned the fight down which im calling bullshit on. Why would he ask for the fight and then turn it down when offered, unless he was getting another 8,000 paycheck in that case i can see why he didn't take the fight. Also UFC has acquired 2 of the strikeforce girls

Ya, this has been one of the better seasons of TUF in quite some time. Spoiler response:
Quinlan did what he had to to win the fight. He seems like a smart fighter. He knows his limitations and his opponents strenghts and knows how to work both things. He caught Hester pretty easily in that rear naked and got him to tap pretty quick, which surprised me a bit. I agree about Hester, though. Everything he throws has a ton of power behind it. Off his back, with a guy on his legs, whatever. Doesn't matter. I'm not sure of his skill set, but he's tough as nails. Ton of potential.

What a disapointment Bubba was. I had him #2 based on pre fights and hype, but he failed miserably. It's crystal clear Hall is the man at the top of the mountain right now, imo.

I always knew Bones was a class act. There's a whole lot to like about the guy as a person and fighter. But, Sonnen has completely shocked me, honestly. The Chael I've always seen always seemed like such a loud mouth douchebag. But, thus far, he's been pretty classy and been an absolutely fantastic trainer and motivator. What a contrast compared to some of the knucklheads they've had on here like Big Country Nelson. I can give the dude props for being a good fighter, but he may have been the worst coach that show has ever seen. Ever. Just awful.

They had the conference call for GSP Diaz today. Helwani was tweeting during it and WOW!! I'm more pumped up. GSP and Diaz held nothing back and went at each other. Amazing.

Dude! I would love to hear that. I'm gonna look to see if I can find a link to it. If I do, I'll post it on here. These two guys absolutely hate each other. As much as I love the Diaz brothers, they do have a tendancy to act a little too punk for me sometimes. I like some attitude, but he crossed the line a bit. I just can't see him hanging with a determined and pissed off GSP. I've seen GSP toy with people before(Koshcheck), but I don't see that happening here. There's probably going to be some good damage done by both sides, but Diaz winning would be a monumental upset in my book. I'm extremely hyped. It's gonna be a long week+.

HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK About a half hour in is when it really kicks into high gear. Georges and Nick are going at it!!!!!!!!!! I'm rolling over here. Wow this is better than Chael/Anderson.

I wish they got Kelli Hutcherson too, I think she's hot.

MODS can we get a WW* in here? :)

Ok without over-analyzing the conference call here's what I got:

Nick is basically pissed because he is always being painted as the bad guy and points out that GSP is the can-do-no-wrong UFC star. I really, really like him as a fighter but OMFG, he talks trash all the time and is always disrespectful of his opponents, he called out GSP and branded him a coward and now that GSP is firing back he's saying he's being painted as the bad guy? I like that he's always at the me against the world line of thinking but I think he's reaching here. At least he's not at the Floyd Mayweather douchebag level yet.

Its damn awkward hearing GSP talk back, even Koscheck didn't get to him like this. They are both getting in each other's heads and this alone makes the fight worth watching.

BTW, I frequently visit a website/forum that gives me my MMA info year round (its like the RCF version of MMA imo). PM me if you'd like to know it too (or if we have the same website that we visit).

Honestly with MMA everything is broken on twitter by Helwani and a few other guys. There are tons of sites out there for discussion. Sherdog is probably the most popular but some of the threads on there are so bad.
