MLB Lock-Out is Finally Freakin’ Over

Didn't do a lot of reading or following, but MLB really added another playoff spot? How do they plan on working the 6 teams that get in?

Nfl did 2 byes with their 6 team format

When I did it in OOTP, I set it up this way...

It would be 1st and 2nd seed getting a bye in the 3 game round... So top two division winners record wise of course.

Then the last division winner (3rd seed) vs the lowest record wild card (6th seed) in one of the 3 game sets. Then the other game is the top 2 wild card teams facing off (4 and 5 seed)

Then of course the winner of 4/5 faces the 1st seed and the 2nd seed faces the 3/6 winner in the next round...

So getting the 1st and 2nd seed is huge in that format since they get 5-7 days of rest

If this is true...

I'm glad to see at least some players still care about the children (ie younger guys). The union fucked them over accepting not only a far lower CBT than they originally held out for, but then cursing with the choice between the international draft, or much more likely, the continuation of the qualifying offer, which will once again restrict player FA. I hope these Mets players hold their ground.
