MLB Trade Deadline 24

To be in Josh Bell's head these days.

Two years ago traded w/ Juan Soto to the Padres, then the 'it' team in baseball and hitting .192/ .587 OPS in 210 ABs. An offseason later signs with the G's, sucks and is traded at the deadline to the lowly Marlins for Jean Segura's carcass, catching fire for a few weeks. This year more sucking for the Marlins until after the all-star break hitting 5 HR w/ a .342 AVG/ 1.208 OPS in his last 10 games and gets traded to the Diamondbacks for cash money. Which Josh Bell will appear in Arizona?

As I watched the end of the trade deadline show on MLB Network last night, I was stunned by the number of “prospects” some teams brought in via trades & then I remembered the 165 limit.

Considering the draft pick signings and the number of prospects acquired by Miami/ ChiSox/ Detroit/ Tampa Bay/ Washington, there are going to be massive cuts in those systems. Could be an interesting item to watch.
