MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL vs Ravens

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is going to be a challenging game. I think the Ravens are a tougher opponent than the Steelers in a lot of ways...they adapt to their personnel and can beat you in a number of ways.

That said, the entire country is watching this game, and if the Browns are gonna be viewed as a real contender, they need to be able to win today.

I really need to know what it’s like to be a fan who doesn’t believe in a 9-3 team.

That’s a shitty fan existence.

If you were a steelers fan, would you have confidence in your 11-2 team to win a superbowl right now? I wouldnt.

Im proud of this team regardless. They have made many steps in the right direction this year. But are they superbowl contenders? I dunno. There are still a lot of things that can be improved. And there are multiple teams I would consider much better than the browns and likely to beat the browns in a playoff game.

Sounds like an unenjoyable way to go about being a fan.

Hope you can still get up and get excited for games you don't believe they can win in..

Clevelanders are conditioned to being miserable sports fans, always waiting for the other shoe to drop, and it shows.

This team has showed improvement every single week, and for as much as we shit all over the defense (and yes, their secondary is heartburn-inducing), they're a top ten rush defense, top ten in takeaways, and top ten in turnover differential. They've got the best 1-2 combo at running back in the NFL and have pretty consistently been a top five (including plenty of time at the top) rushing offense. Baker Mayfield - for as much as people (myself included) have criticized him - has a 3:1 TD to interception ratio and hasn't thrown a pick in over a month.

They just beat the brakes off one of last year's AFC finalists, a team that most people have pegged as a deep playoff contender. People continue to move the goalposts on this team and it's annoying. Last week was a prove it game. Now that wasn't good enough, so tonight is a prove it game.

Their negative point differential is from two losses that occurred early in the season. This is clearly a much-improved team. Whether or not they're serious contenders in the playoffs is debatable, but they stand as good a chance as anybody once they get there. If people refuse to accept that, then let them.

I get excited for every game. Even through the last 20 years where there were games everyone on the planet didn't believe they could win.

Im very proud of them even if they lose in the playoffs. They've done very well this year and have show obvious improvement and give a lot of hope for the future of Browns football.

I dont understand whats so unreasonable about that take?

This was one of the games I was so excited about going to before the season started. My first game after moving back home was the Monday Night Kick Six. I really wanted to be there for the revenge game. I bypassed my season tickets this year and applied them for next season. The only bright side is I'm definitely going to go to Green Bay and sit in Lambeau Field when The Browns play The Packers next season.

This might sound crazy but..............

Every year the previous Super Bowl matchup is a Sunday Night game. What if next year is Browns @ Packers in Lambeau on Sunday Night? Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!

He meant win tonight and he is a Belieber and will buy his first Justin Bieber album.

As good of a chance as anyone but KC.

But look, this is an Any Given Sunday league, Philly just beat NOLA yesterday, I get NOLA was without Brees, but their defense is probably the best in the NFL and Philly beat them.

Last week proved we are serious playoff contenders, if we win this week, I would say we are contenders period. Sure KC will be top in the NFL and the AFC, but if we win, Browns are in the conversation as next best team after KC.

Edit: For me the goal post isnt moving for me to believe in them, the win last week proved it to me. But the goal post is moving on what i think this team can achieve, before i thought we could make the playoffs, now i think we can make some noise in the playoffs and win a game or two.

Exciting times.

I'm 44 years old and have suffered SO much not only as a fan of the Browns (and Indians and Cavs), but suffered at least as much as being the son of a fan of those teams. My PTSD is so deep that I just KNOW to the DEPTHS OF MY SOUL that we're going to get totally embarrassed on national TV tonight. I ALSO know that that feeling is based on NOTHING but the DAMAGE I've received in my life and that has ZERO impact on whatever will occur in real life. Please, for the love of fucking GOD, beat the goddamn motherfucking shit eating Ravens tonight. For me and my damaged soul and my shitty pissed off dad.

:love struck:

GO BROWNS.

I don't think anyone is saying we can't win tonight, people just want to see us consistently beat/compete with the better teams. We beat a pretty good team last week, now we need to beat another good team. I don't think it's moving the goalposts, people just want consistency. Acknowledging the fact that the ravens are a good team and tonight will probably be a tough game shouldn't be some kind of referendum on someone's fandom of the team . . .

Dude. You’re coming off as a jerk. Beating the Ravens and Steelers are the biggest hurdles this team will face this year. We got our bass kicked earlier this year. He’s skeptical to believe that we truly are different if the outcome is the same against our biggest opponent.
Don’t be a jerk.

I’m very interested to see how Baker performs in particular, to see if he can handle a blitz heavy defense.

Its a shame about the 20-30MPH winds that are forecasted for the game... I think the passing game was going to be advantage Browns. The wind will neutralize that and turn it into a ground contest. It will be a matter of who takes care of the ball (both teams do a good job of protecting the ball) and who can establish the run game fastest/which defense holds up. I think their defense wins this battle without the threat of our passing game. Hope I'm wrong!

We win tonight, and anyone who doubts us fuck them (I’m on my way to being tuned up)
