Russ is obviously not without his faults, and his faults have grown as he's aged and refused to adjust, but acting like he's been a bum is just wrong. People act like Russ never passed the ball or that he was the one who always choked in the playoffs. PG3 had the best year of his career playing along Westbrook, but came up small in the playoff series losses. It was always KD's team in OKC and he was the guy with the ball in his hands in clutch time. If KD doesn't come up small 2 games in a row when they had the Warriors on the ropes, Westbrook might be an NBA champion. After a bad first half, his play down the stretch was the only reason the Wizards made the playoffs 2 years ago. And for all the grief he took in LA last year, he was the only one of those old guys who took the court on a regular basis. He wasn't good, but at least he was available.I hope people dont remember Russ for what he has been in the last 2-3 years and forget the first 12 years of his career. Young Russ was an absolutely electric athlete and throughout his career he has been an excellent playmaker and All-NBA caliber guy. And he had several MVP level seasons (even if he probably shouldn't have won the one he did). He will be in the HoF and probably first ballot.
I am not biggest fan of his playstyle or how he has refused to adjust his game at all as he has aged, but he is absolutely a top 75 player in NBA history (to this point).
