Most underrated songs of all time

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
BABYMETAL? Yes, BABYMETAL.

I rediscovered this group during covid after having seen one of their videos years ago and writing it off as some kind of weird Japanese gimmick band. I was wrong, so very very wrong. It may have started out as a weird gimmick/experiment to combine J-pop and metal, but it has become so much more than that. Everyone involved in the group is legitimately insanely talented and their live shows are among the best in the world. Their catalog spans everything from straight up death metal, prog, speed metal, fucking viking metal, hip hop/trap metal, nu-metal, all the way to metallized pop and ballads. I'm so happy I found them again and gave it another chance.

Alice in Chains Unplugged IMO is the best live album ever.
I got into an AIC phase recently and re-watched the entire MTV Unplugged album/video... Just so, so damn good. I forgot just how much Jerry Cantrell made that band "go". He's one of the most underrated musicians of the last few decades, IMO.

Calling foul on Temple of the Dog- Hunger.

Everyone knows that song and it's generally well received.

I was stoked when Facebook taught me the dude who got you into Ween in college is the younger brother of the dude I got into Ween in high school.

Long live Boognish!

I say this is the best AC/DC song and I'm probably alone in this thinking.

But I've always been drawn to songs from popular bands that are a little off-beat from their typical stuff.

Really, anything by Frank Black and the Catholics. Not as trendy and popular as his original cult success with Pixies, this was a far superior band that ranges from country to punk. Black's problem was he writes so much and recorded so much that he eventually diluted his product.
