In an effort to clean up the site and improve the quality of this site, please read this post before you decide to post:
Posting
We here at RCF encourage everyone to share their views, opinions, and any news that they have... The more people the better and we love the many different viewpoints and diversity that we have here...
But at the same time, the better the quality the better the post...
Please try to elaborate on things when you post... Try to stay away from just posting "I agree", "He stinks" or short, useless posts.. Elaborate on why you have that viewpoint... We want to hear what you have to say here.. Why do you feel that way? What does a player do that you don't like? Why wouldn't a such and such matchup be a bad one? Etc....
Now I'm not saying that you shouldn't ever post one-line, one-sentence posts, but just pick your spots... Sometimes it's needed, sometimes it isn't...
I'm also not saying that the longer the post the better, as we look for the quality of the post at RCF... Some shorter posts may be better than some longer posts... It's just a matter of getting your point across...
The bottom line is that as long as you put some thought, effort and reality in your posts, you should be fine here...
There is a reason why have something called "rep points" at RCF... It's basically a reward system for quality posts... The better your post is the more likely you will earn rep points and the more likely you'll be a respected poster here... It's pretty simple...
Also... Everyone has their own, unique style of posting... But please try to make it at least literate... If you don't, people will just skip over whatever you posted... No one is going to waste their time trying to read something they can't...
The most important rule to remember before starting a new topic, is look around and see if there is somewhere you can post whatever you want to post that relates to your topic.. Whether it be an article, idea, thought, etc., try to keep related things in one thread... We don't need 5 different threads about LeBron James going to NY/NYJ or 3 different threads discussing Baron Davis... One thread is plenty enough...
I know you want people to see your post or what you have to say but if it is a well thought out post, you'll more than likely get noticed.. Believe me.
Please use all forums here... We've set up different forums for different usages...
We don't need trade ideas and fantasy trades in Cavs talk... There is the Trade Idea forum and Fantasy Sports forum for that stuff...
We don't need to hear about the Lakers front office problems (example) in Cavs talk... That's what the Around the NBA forum is for...
You guys are smart enough to figure it out; this isn't rocket science... Just try to keep things in their appropriate forums...
Now don't take this as criticism or the RCF staff looking down on newer members or those that have made a mistake... The whole RCF staff worked our way up from being a ball boy to where we are right now... We encourage everyone to contribute, you just want to make sure this is one of the best Cavalier message boards on the net... Which is why we want to unclutter things and which is why we want quality over quantity...
The more you guys hang around there the more used to things you'll get...
If you guys have any questions, criticisms, complaints, etc., feel free to contact myself, anyone one of the moderators or anyone else on the RCF Staff... We'd be more than happy to help/assist you in whatever it is...

At Real Cavs Fans, we stand proud in building and keeping a fun loving comminuty where intelligent Cavalier topics can be discussed between members from all sorts of backgrounds.
Whether your from Cleveland or not, you will always be welcomed as a Cavs fan. These Rules and Regulations indicates what we feel is appropriate to keep this board to the highest quailty for all of our members.
GENERAL RULES
We expect that all members of RCF will behave in a way that’s conductive to the diversity, intelligence and respectfulness of the community. Each of these three general principles is fundamental to the quality of our site.
● Diversity – RCF is a comminuty with different people with different backgrounds. Respect where they are from. They are rooting for your team, so whats the problem?
● Intelligence – We’re a community with quality standards and we expect our members to make a sincere effort to contribute their thoughts on interesting subjects in a meaningful and respectful manner. Posting messages and otherwise interacting on RCF is completely optional; many members often prefer to just read what others have to say. But if you do post, we expect that you’ll be respectful of the time of others by posting meaningfully.
● Respect – We require our members to show respect for others. Respecting their person, their time and their opinions – even if you disagree with them. Respect also includes respecting the right of the RCF administrators and moderators to make judgements and enforce these rules. After all, they are the ones that keep this place clean for you and easier to read.
BASIC GUIDELINES
The following list of online conduct is completely unacceptable at Real Cavs Fans and a violation of our Rules and Regulations. Conducting in any of these behaviors could result in a warning, a suspension or even a complete banning from RCF.
● Harassment- Harassment is a repetitive display of ignorance towards a member. if you dislike a member, ignore them. Please do not follow him/her around the entire forum and disagree with everything that person has to say.
● Disrupting- Posts that intend to disrupt the topic of conversation or steer the topic away from the focus of the forum and related news. These posts will be deleted with out notice.
● Solicitation and Spam- Refrain from using Real Cavs Fans forums to advertise your site. This meaning in posts, threads and also PM's. You may attach a short link to your site within your profile but if you would like more promotion, we have a links section that already includes many of sports sites like yours. If you want your site to be included, please contact an Administrator.
GRAMMAR AND ETIQUETTE
● Topic Titles
Try to keep the titles short and concise, not only does it look better but a good thread title should be a prelude to what your about to read. Also try to capitalize important words.
Bad Example: reggie evans is in cleveland to discuss a potential contract
Good Example: Reggie Evans Visits; Contract Offered?
● Grammar
We're a pretty loose group of people, and we all like to speak comfortably but try to refrain from overuse of slang.
Things like "dat, wuz, b, cuz and etc" Using some occasionaly is fine but when it disrupts the flow of the post to where your trying to decipher through the slang to find the message then thats gone too far.
We're not sticklers for punctuation but we do encourage the use of capitalization and the occasional period to seperate sentences so we aren't reading one giant run-on.
●Swearing
The main swear words are censored out automatically but please save the extreme foul language for OT EAYOR. We encourage you to find substitute words so that the mods can spend their time reading posting and watching the games instead of monitoring the language.
●Articles
When posting an article please do not post more then 2 paragraphs of the article. Quote it using the quote tags, and please supply a link to provide validity.
AVATARS AND SIGNATURES
Avatars are setup to be sized at 175 x 250 pixels.
-No advertisments are allowed in your avatars as well.
Signature size requirements are 460x250 pixels. Anything bigger will be removed. This again is to keep the place clean and organized. We do not want to have to scroll through your entire signature to get to the next post.
We DO NOT allow sigs that promote your site. They will be removed with out notice.
REMEMBER
Please keep in mind that these are rules to keep this place the most comfortable and most easy going Cavalier's source on the net. If these rules are followed as written, everything will just be alright.
Go Cavs.
