Guys, my local Australian news station just showed a clip of Myles Garrett dunking on people but introduced him to our not-so-NFL-savvy audience as “the guy who hit his opponent on the head with a helmet, now seeking redemption.”

1. No idea why they decided to run the clip during the prime time news slot.

2. Pretty mediocre that the incident will be used as a reference point/calling card to those foreign to the sport for at least the next few chapters of his career.

Insane, though, that the notoriety of that incident is what proffers him the opportunity for headlines — not that he is one of the most spectacular athletes of our generation. Can’t wait for him to change that narrative to the greater public.
