Great game by Myles - got sacks from all over. But what the hell were the Bears thinking in leaving old and extraordinarily slow Jason Peters out there on an island against Myles the whole game? Garrett was the worst matchup possible for Peters because of his extraordinary speed/bend around the edge.

It looked like one of those horrible videos where some shitty kid is beating up some old man who was just trying to get some sleep leaning against a wall or something.

Oh, I agree. That's why I said he got sacks from "all over the place.". But Peters in particular was ridiculously overmatched, and they just never made an adjustment.

One of the big flaws in our defense against KC was the way they constantly allowed Mahomes to slip out of the pocket and that was the most glaring problem that week. Just a little more lane discipline would have gotten us off the field on some big 3rd downs.

I'm not sure if it was Chicago's first passing play of the game, but it felt like it was.

When they lined up I thought to myself that all they need to do is have Fields take off towards the lane that Myles opens up by being too aggressive. Lo and behold, Myles went way too deep on his pass rush, wrapped fully around the QB and was coming at him from the right side of the offensive line. Fields just scrambled and took off for an easy gain, right through the lane Garrett opened up for him.

When that play happened, I was frustrated--we were going to see the same, easily exploitable shit that we watched Mahomes and Tyrod take advantage of.

However, this first incident? Well, it was also the last time this problem occurred all day long.

This bodes well for his DPOY campaign. You have to put in a couple monster games like this to garner votes. (Sadly) Consistent excellence often isn’t enough if you don’t have a couple headline games to go with it.

He was unreal today… fun watching the defense light the stadium on fire and keep the fans rowdy.

HUGE bounce back game today for Garrett. He absolutely ate up an 'over the hill' Jason Peters. Would love to see him keep the momentum going.

I don’t want to put the ‘Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane’ label on Garrett yet, but the first two games are cause for concern. From the look of things, Myles might be more interested in becoming a body builder.

Of course. Myles, himself, has been talking about winning DPOY and breaking the all-times sack record, so he, clearly, holds himself to a really high standard, as do we. Very nice bounce back game for Myles after his production was down some in games 1 & 2. No one expects 4.5 sacks every game, but we're all hoping he can keep the momentum going.

My wife wore a Reggie White jersey to the Eagles home opener. He was a hell of a football player. Myles Garrett will set a lot of marks before he’s done.
