I've been saying for days that Myles should have just done this to Rudolph. Slam him around like a rag doll, take a suspension for a week, but weaponizing the helmet went too far.

If you have ever been in a fight, especially a 2 or 3 on 1, you know that you are just reacting and not thinking. The helmet swing was a reactionary instinctual act, not a premeditated act. Still deserves a big suspension, but I've been in some stupid frat party fights long ago and believe me, you are just reacting in the moment when it is a mob of fists and douchebags charging you.

I'm sure he is. Of course, in a sport this violent they probably should have everyone go through the training before every season. I'm not excusing anything. I'm just explaining that it is a jungle out there, and it's easy to say what you would do but not so easy to do it when you are being bum rushed by a mob.

I'm really not trying to make light of this situation because it was very foolish of Myles to lose his cool like that. It cost him a ton of money and likely paints him a dirty player the rest of his career. What that means, I am not sure because it sure as hell isn't like he gets any calls to go in his favor when he was a dinosaur-loving weirdo.

In the grand scheme of violent acts that have been committed by professional athletes, it will always rank up there because of the visual impact of it. With that said, it is going to make a damn good poster in my future Browns den when five years from now, we can look back at this and laugh. It'll hang right next to my picture of Mayfield holding up the Lombardi trophy shirtless, as he cascades down Euclid shotgunning beers.

Ideally, since he would be back for Baltimore.

I disagree with the "Gronk/Antonio Smith got 1 game" stuff. Myles would literally be risking his life setting foot in western PA until people kind-of-forget by next season, so there's no point in shortening the suspension until that game. We should easily win the home Bungles game without him, as well, so that's 3 games that we "should" let him rest.

3 would have him back @ Arizona. Last game is at the Bungles, so I wouldn't even bother with an appeal for this season if we can't get to 3-4 games, or maybe for just the playoffs.

So I will say for better or worse AZ has always through out many years and many threads pretty much said that any retaliation is bad. Whether it's a women beating a man and he responds, a man beating a woman and she responds, or Garrett responding here.

I disagree with him completely. But his absolute determination to stick to his ideals is interesting.

1. The principle remains, there is an act of instigation and is up to the other party to either be the bigger man or be a bully.
