Myles Garrett : NFL 2023 DPOY

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wouldn't say that Rudolph is innocent. There just isn't enough information to know for sure one way or the other. You had a lot of other players around there, and none of them claimed to have heard it. That doesn't mean it didn't happen, but it does mean that we're left with an uncorroborated allegation in circumstances where you'd think there would be some corroboration. And if the other players didn't hear it...why are so many people certain that "the NFL" did?

If someone put a gun to my head and asked me to guess, I'd believe Garrett. But you can't punish Rudolph for this given the complete lack of corroboration.
I agree with you. I’m not saying he is innocent, I’m saying if they believe he is innocent then they have a big reason to rally behind him. Specifically if you were on the field and believe you would have heard it and did not. now we can argue all day about whether anyone was within earshot or at what points Mason could say something only Myles can hear, but if someone was entirely convinced Mason was innocent I think they have strong reason to come forward and back him

My question is if nothing can be corroborated either way, how do people get to the point where they believe one account over another? How do people jump to Jussie Smollet (accusation of lies)?

I am basing my opinion off of the context we have for both guys. That's what you've got to do if you're going to come off the fence with an opinion.

I keep coming back to the fact that Myles just got taken off the suspension list. He has no benefit bringing this up again if it was not true. He should be distancing himself from this incident and hoping it turns into an out of sight, out of mind thing. He's a smart enough guy to figure this out. He would not arrange for an interview where he knows he is going to say this if it weren't a fact.
I agree with the reasoning. He/his agent would have to be really stupid to bring this up again if it weren't true.

I wonder if the NFL said something during his reinstatement. Did they ask if he was still going to pursue it? Could they?

When can we offer Myles an extension? I'm anticipating that if he balls out like we expect him to that it he'll be one of the next $100M players right?

He is eligible now.

Frank Clark and DeMarcus Lawrence just signed $100m+ deals last spring (guaranteed money was low $60m range). So yes, he should be expecting something north of that.

One can hope, but you never know whether or not Myles' market value aligns with the Browns' allocation for the position... Kinda like you don't know whether or not they value one of the top OTs in the draft over the ~5th best OT in the draft and an additional pick... There is no way to predict what will happen.

Even after the suspension and missing a few games due to injury Myles Garret has statistically been on of the best players in the league since he came into the league. I think a 15+ sack season locks him in as the highest paid defensive player ever next offseason.

I'm confident Myles will be a top pass rusher in this league for many years to come.

If I were the Browns I'd try to extend him right now for slightly cheaper given the recent suspension. Doubt Myles's camp would fall for it, but why not try?

I’m hoping this is dead by the time the season rolls around; it’ll be unbearable when the teams play each other. Hopefully there isn’t much other than that.

Is it possible Rudolph said something that was mistakened for a slur? Perhaps Myles was laughing as he tackled Rudolph; Rudolph asked Garrett to not snigger during gameplay.

Perhaps Rudolph was trying to convince Myles his penis was bigger.

On the field, maybe there was a game of wheel of fortune; the hint was n*gger and the clue was “people who annoy you.”

Garrett guessed the wrong word when the correct word was Nagger. Thanks South Park.

People just aren’t speculating enough.

ah the ol’ Beilein technique

The notion that Rudolph has a larger cock is so preposterous that we must dismiss the very thought.

Took advantage of the free game pass. Watched the Garret incident. His take down of Rudolph was a little over the top and unnecessary. I can see why he got mad and went after him.
