Myles Garrett : NFL 2023 DPOY

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Myles is amazing.

I do wonder if we need to manage his snap count better. Even against a tremendously depleted Bengals OL we were getting almost zero pressure on Burrow by the 4th quarter.

The DL looked absolutely gassed and couldn’t make a play when we needed one badly.

He was double and triple teamed the whole 2nd half, others need to step up to be honest, especially the other end (looking at you Vernon)

Burrow was getting the ball out extremely fast. It's a shame that our DBs, outside of Ward are hot garbage. We had no way to stop those quick throws.

The Bengals also never punted.

I'm sorry, but I don't care how bad our LBs and safeties are - they gotta get off the damn field. Burrow had his 2 best games of the year against us and has 3 TDs and 5 INTs against the other opponents.

I think Burrow will have other games this year where he plays well, and that it was good to get Cinci out of the way earlier rather than later in the season.

Blame the scheme. Soft zone, four man blitz, with no creativity. Once we started to dial blitzes, it remained soft zone. We play semi-aggressive prevent nearly every down.

Didn't someone say that Ward would be more valuable for us than Garrett? I wonder if that person feels the same way so far.

I'm about as high on Ward as it gets, but I don't think I've ever heard this take.

Were you perhaps misremembering the discussion about how signing Ward might be more beneficial to us than signing Garrett, because coverage provides more wins per dollar than edge rushers?
