NBA 2k18

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What's this year's gameplay / presentation like compared to last years?

Is 2k any different this year? The latest version I have is 2k16 and I bought NBA live this year lol. 2k is the same shit every year so I figured might as well try something new.

My 360 is officially obsolete. Redbox doesn't even bother with the bitch anymore.

Quick question I don't have Xbox gold I mainly play offline. Am I still able to so the run the neighborhood and just. It be able to play my park? Or will that be blockdx off

Yes, you can still do all the things in The Neighborhood - you just won't be able to compete online or enter into areas that require Xbox Gold.

A little better. The graphics are a piece of piss though, IMO. Animations are much smoother - shots look cleaner, movement is a lot "softer" and rebounding is fantastic.

I wasn't going to buy it because I thought it would basically be the same as last year. I couldn't help myself and bought it. It's basically the same as last year.

Bruh... these myplayer cut scenes are so gay.

Huge let down that i can't skip these shits.

I put $50 in my player like every other sheep because it's hard playing as a 60 overall, thats death.

$50 got me to a 85 and it's time to grind the rest. I made a 6'10 SF Shot Creator/Pure Shooter, it gave me a combo of inside and outside with handling to boot.

Isn't it unbelievable? And it feels like there's no point whatsoever to any of the cut scenes, right? I spent $15 and got up to like 68 - what a joke that this year they're basically making you fork up cash if you want to be half decent. I mean, I missed 3 bunnies under the hoop, uncontested yesterday and turned the whole thing off. Ridiculous.

MyCareer is a joke anymore. The game tries to be funny and that 37-year old virgin hack Ronnie 2K goes out of his way to get himself involved in the story mode as much as he can. It's not fun grinding your way up to an 88-89 just to play somebody who spent an extra $200 on the game so they could be a 97 overall on day two.

I play for franchise and MyTeam.

I think Franchise Mode is definitely the way to go this year. Are you playing with the Cavs? Given I don't really want to deal with the clusterfuck that is going to be next off season as yet, I started one up with Lonzo and the Lakers and shipped a couple of dead weight vets (Deng and Lopez) for first round picks. Should be a big off season for me!

Agree.

For a while they were killing it. 2k8-2k14ish.

They've leveled off big time, and haven't made any improvements or innovations with gameplay in 3 or 4 years. Basically ever since NBA Live fell off a complete cliff. Must be nice having no competition because now there's only one game on the market worthwhile and you don't really need vast improvements.

That's why FIFA is basically the same rubbish each and every year.

Don't have time to manage it myself, but if anyone else does I'd have a couple guys interested in joining an online league.

It sucks. Salaries don't mean a thing, and free agency is reduced to an expansion draft and picking up those who were not drafted.

Its a joke.

Thanks! I was interested in maybe buying it to run one of these with my brother, but now I'm certainly not.

In the past when RchfldCavsRaised led our RCF leagues we did standalone, fantasy draft seasons so none of this was an issue.

I'd still be interested if anyone starts one fwiw.

Fantasy draft to start a season seems fine to me, but no free agency after year 1 is where it loses me. I am in a league with a handful of friends, and I picked the Bucks to "build them", but if teams just keep freezing their top players, no one wort ha damn will ever be a free agent.
