NBA Finals Game 1 | Cavs @ Warriors | June 4th | 9:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we would have just won it in regulation when we had the chance. Suddenly instead of being down 0-1, we would have stolen home court advantage, taken the series lead, and potentially prevented Kyrie from ever getting injured.

I truly believe next year is our year though. If Kyrie is out, this series isn't lasting more than 4 games, maybe 5 if we're lucky. With Love, Varejao, and a healthy Kyrie, along with any guys the Haywood contract brings in and a first round draft pick, we should be the clear favorites for the championship next season.

I know we're all disappointed about the loss. Right now the Kyrie injury has clouded everything. That was a great game last night, it really was. There were a lot of things to like about the way that we played, especially defensively.

If Kyrie is lost, I still don't think we're toast. I'm not the kind of person who is a homer either. Shumpert, J.R., and James Jones were mostly invisible for the whole game. I highly doubt that happens again. J.R. had some good shots that were halfway down. If LeBron is going to go into mega ISO mode and control the ball, Kyrie was a spot up shooter for large stretches of the game anyways. Kerr seems to have made a tactical decision to force LeBron to beat him and take away as much of his playmaking ability as possible.

I know Kyrie was wheeling, dealing, driving, and looking good. However, Delly did get some good time in some high pressure games during Kyrie's absence. I would feel a lot worse of Kyrie just went down and Delly was completely unproven. I think we can steal game 2 and you know bench players step up more so at home. I think Delly has it in him to give us some big moments in this series.

I've got the next game thread and I'll have it up Saturday. Be disappointed over the loss, be sad about Kyrie after he was seemingly hitting his stride, but don't give up, not yet. We've waited and stuck together through so much more during the last four years. Golden State is not an indestructible force. We got awful close last night, there's still a lot of basketball left to be played.

LeBron is 1-5 in Finals game 1's

I think that's what a read.

Just a typical feel out game

well he's 2-3 in the finals overall, so thats a pretty shitty pattern.

and a 'feel out game' is the dumbest shit i've ever heard of. lebron is an absolute buffoon sometimes.

Wow. LeBron is probably the only guy who could get criticized after putting up 44/8/6. The dude was great last night. He took some bad shots at the end, but that's only because he was exhausted and no one else was moving or doing anything really. Whenever anyone got the ball, they would freeze up and immediately look for LeBron.

no doubt is he held to a higher standard. but it is what it is.

if you build win a finals game away for 47:36 and then make THAT boneheaded of a play, its just as good as not doing anything at all. its like running stupid good game on a pornstar and then puking in her face when you go to seal the deal.

i knew overruling blatt on the inbounds play would bite us in the ass. just cuz it worked once, doesnt mean you did the right thing. insisting on taking the last shot every time, especially whehn youve been shooting 17% from 3, is dumb as fuck. in fact, hes really normally awful at the end of the game ( i know his clutch stats). i talking decision making. dribbling the ball out, irresponsibly turning 15 point leads into nailbaiters is just dumb.

coming full cirlcle to the post you are responding to, I was actually making note of the comment that 'i have feel out games' is stupid, because it just is.

its also as dumb as having 'chill mode', or at least saying it if hes just saving face. its all dumb.

You're not taking into consideration what KIND of porn this star stars in. Maybe that's already an occupational hazard for him/her.

There role players played like they should in a game 1 at home.

This was something interesting I saw earlier today. Who knows what the means for this series, but shows that LeBron has been able to fight back plenty in this situation.

The lack of movement was clearly intentional. Kerr was dead set on never sending help until LeBron was about 7 feet from the rim. So, if you dare LeBron to win it by himself you stare into the sun as long as you can. Again, it was one shot away from working in a hostile game one environment. The crowd looked defeated for 75% of the game.

It won't work this time, Irving was a key to the Iso gameplan.
