NBA Finals - Game 2 | Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors | June 3rd, 2018 8:00 PM [EST]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'll be exactly like this next time. I'm always a believer until there's 4 losses.

If you don't like it, put me on ignore.

Saying LeBron was giving up in this game was beyond stupid.

For the record, I agree with you. The days of "LeQuit" are over. We were lucky to get the kind of performances out of him we've seen in the playoffs. George Hill is the most dependable player not named LeBron right now. And he did good. On the stat sheet, so did Kevin Love. Korver could barely get involved.

And the Clarkson experiment has to be over now.

Kyrie Irving did not want to play here and probably would have not played this season at all.

He had an elective surgery that could ebe scheduled for the offseason or during the season meaning he could of not played and camped out under the guide of IR.

so I wish people would stop pretending like the Cavs had a choice to not trade Kyrie Irving.. it Had to be done and there was no scenario that the Cavs got the better of the deal

While I agree, I hope you know you just opened pandora's box...lol

Nope.

It was a dumb trade, always will be a dumb trade, and will end up being top 5 worst trade in league history.
Unless Rodney Hood is actually played and he ends up piling on a 30-burger against Golden Shower, it's dumb.
Unless LeBron stays, and they actually managed to somehow get Lord NyQuil over here in a trade with OKC so they have something.... then it's dumb.

Cavs had a choice. Not be so thirsty about getting Paul George when they had a snowball's chance in Hell while he was still in Indiana, and two, keep things under wraps. It leaked. That lead to Kyrie wanting out. They had to do SOMETHING, but this SOMETHING is not a win when the goal is to win another title and you KNOW who your likely opponent is going to be.

There's a lot of PR right now covering for that blunder (seen in that LeBron interview).

Kyrie wasn't happy before Lebron Arrived. He wasn't happy in Cleveland after LeBron got here either.

Kyrie didnt just wake up one morning and say … what they tried to trade me I want out of here.. You think griffin would even have Irving on the table without some indication he was gonna lose Irving anyways?

Irving wasn't gonna stay in Cleveland. he had a dirty knee and he wanted to go with 2 seasons left on his contract.

keeping Irving would of been the dumb move.

We didn't trade kyrie to get better. it was a salvage operation.

Irving kept his knee dirty so he could be traded if he wasn't traded he would of been out for the season.

now you have 2018-19 season coming around. maybe LeBron is there maybe he isn't. either way you lose Irving at the end of the season for nothing.

btw how much better was OKC with paul geroge and how much worse was Indiana without him?

they're both fishing right now, so it's irrelevant. Indiana took this Cavs team to 7 games by basically swapping him for Oladipo so I'd say they won that trade. especially since PG has a player option.

What is unfortunate about the whole thing is I really felt like the Cavs made the Irving trade thinking Crowder was going to be the absolute perfect fit for the Cavs and the playoffs. But it just didn’t workout. I also think having the leadsherip of Wade still around would have helped this playoffs instead of just signin Perkins to meet a roster number. I don’t know, maybe i am nuts but I wish they could have found a way to keep Crowder. His defense alone would be very welcomed right now.

I would kill for wade right now over JR.. I honestly think rose would be better than Clarkson and hood too off the bench scoring wise.. crowder wouldn’t be too bad to throw on KD but idk he just didn’t fit well.. still rather him over Clarkson and hood though. And if we didn’t do these trades we would still have Frye too. I think the trades ended up being awful for us. We definitely win game 1 with wade in JRs place and rose coming off the bench scoring in Clarksons place. Possibly win this game too. Sucks.. wade was just the real major one that killed us though.. just let him go for absolutely nothing. Smh

Still can’t understand that trade unless he really just simply wanted out and LeBron campaigned to the FO to meet the demand. Just odd all the way around.

I’m so happy I essentially boycotted this game. After game 1, in my mind, there was just no way these guys could gather themselves to compete for 48 minutes. All the smart money in Vegas tonight was on the GS cover with good reason.

I doubt I watch game 3 either....it’s going to be a while before I have enough trust in the NBA to make it worth my time.

I’m really hoping for a huge ratings drop from Game 1 to Game 2. I think it’ll be relatively significant. I think there are more fans out there like me than most assume as well. After this finals, I think the NBA has a massive credibility problem they will need to overcome.

Pushing propaganda pieces through ESPN isn’t a great look either. Smart fans cut right through that bullshit when an honest league would say....”ya know, we fucked up down the stretch of game 1”. It’s sad the best player in the world is seemingly punished every game, for all I can fathom, is the city he plays in? But then again, he didn’t get a lot of help in Miami....I’m not sure what it is, but if I were LeBron, beyond figuring out where I want to play next year, I’d take a hard look at exactly what he wants to do. Holding the NBA’s feet to the fire would be really smart IMO.

He could push a narrative about a switch to NFL. He could spark interest by saying he wants to play goalkeeper in London (he has ownership in Liverpool, and with 6-12 months of training he’d prob be the best goalie in the world). He could state he wants a season of rest and to figure out what he wants.

But above all else he should make the NBA HQ collective asses pucker....they don’t deserve what he’s brought to the game. They treat him like shit....guy can’t get a fucking call while they elevate the biggest bitch in the NBA Kevin Durant, to above Jordan status. I’m honestly not sure how LeBron even stays on the court at times.....there are so many moments throughout his career, where I’d just walk directly off the court and into the locker room and say “fuck it tonight....I’m not putting up with this shit”.
You are not the only one. Great friend who love hoops played it through college stopped watching the NBA. Decided to watch last game and it put the final nail in the coffin.

I watched up until the first 5 minutes, you know when the ball clearly went off Durants hands, but they called it out on Lebron. I said nope, i cant do this again. I followed the game through the guys on here. Props to you guys for sticking it out through refgate. If Lebron leaves, that will be the deathblow with all things nba for me.

I can't say I wasn't expecting this but I can say it makes the league stealing game 1 that much more decisive.

I didn't think the Cavs were going to come in and go up 2-0, but even if this game played out the same way and, you know, game 1 was officiated fairly...I would be way more optimistic than I am now.

The defense sucked ass, just horrible. Something has to be done, at some point stick to Curry like glue, at some point put someone in JUST to foul. Anything, something has to be done because they aren't winning this way. Start Kover over JR, play Nance more...for the love of god stop playing Clarkson. At some point pride needs to kick in and take over.

I don't know what to expect come game 3 but if you play with this lack of urgency and laziness, that will be another long night...

On a side note, is it me or are the Warriors the only NBA team that actively mocks their opponents after they win and everyone in the media just laughs along? Kerr with a little jab at LBJ at the end of his presser, even their "fans" (who were all wearing Laker jerseys less than a decade ago) getting in with cheering and chanting MVP for Smith. Pretty immature on their end.

All I will say about this game, this series, this whole playoff run... I almost break out into hives when I see Jordan Clarkson check into the game, and my head explodes into thousands of fragments whenever he touches the ball. I have never had such a visceral reaction to a Cavs player before, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why he is allowed to play every single game after showing absolutely NOTHING. I'm inconsolable.

Dude- The turds he has to carry on his back are elephantine. Would you not give up?
Surprised LBJ doesn't have a rcf tag........

He could venture to eayor and post a pic of his teammates in the "I just pooped a huge log" thread. Bet he would reach goat status with his rep on just a few posts lol
