NBA Finals | Game 5 | Cavs @ Cowards| June 12, 2017 | 9:00pm EST | ABC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hey @Harley Rider -- disagree with my conclusion all you want. I'll wait with baited breath for you to try to disprove it.

Hint: You can't.

I just think they were so stacked that KD was comfortable beyond belief

He knew in his mind he could miss 49 shots and GS would still be up

In OKC he didn't have that thought. He knew OKC would lose if he missed shots and he didn't like that much pressure. He threw his own pride away to win. He REALLY REALLY wanted to win. I can't imagine MJ or any other great respects this ring but whatever

A ring is a ring though. Had he stayed in Oklahoma and not won anything, he would've gotten the Karl Malone or Charles Barkley treatment. It is a permanent stain on their legacies and it would've been on his as well. It wasn't courageous or noble of him to go to the Warriors. But, winning a ring validates a person with a hall of fame type career. We can all call him names and bemoan it. But, he just exercised his right as a free agent to move to a team he felt was better equipped to win. At some point, players should have some control over where they play.

The worst part of this is KD is everything id want a player to be. He is one of my favorite collections of skills ever.

I just wish he wasn't such a bitch. He ruined the league. But in all fairness, we put together a super squad before he did. All GS did was react to us. So we have to take ownership eventually

Ok fair enough, where do we find a MVP to react to the once reaction?

lol we don't. PG for Love is really our only hope.

And even then its not the same. GS gave NOTHING for KD. Wed be giving up our best rebounder and post scorer for PG. Wed still be behind.

What happened in GS is an anomaly. Even Adam Silver said the new CBA wasn't set up for them to be able to sign KD with their success. But when you get that lucky in the draft at around the same exact time and a guy like KD is a UFA shit just happens. It may take another 20 years for a team to get that lucky again.

If we want any chance of getting a superstar in the same way we need to trade Shumpert, Love, and Smith, and TT for draft picks, and hope we draft a star within the next 2 years and hope a baller like KAT is coming up in FA soon.

But LeBron has never been about conceding a season so it would never happen.
