NBA Finals Game 5: Cavs @ Warriors, June 13, 2016, 9:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The game threads have been absolutely epic this post-season.

I'm not getting in the way of the two posters who have Game 6 and, let's hope, Game 7. :chuckle: Poster who couldn't put his thread up today send his regrets, and obviously it worked out fine. Thanks to all.

Well they better do a shitty job on them in honor of your hurry up game thread. Or at least pay homage to you in them. THEY HAVE TO!

Let's pray for the return of Super Saiyan LeBron in Game 6...

In one of the biggest wins in Cavs history people would rather bash Love than just enjoy it. Just makes me shake my head.

Love was playing some of the best defense he's ever played against Golden State tonight.

He contested 3-4 shots at the rim and forced misses, dove on the floor a few times, absolutely blasted Curry around one screen and hit him on the shoulder on another, made a great pass to LeBron for an easy bucket, cheered and was engaged for his teammates.

Love isn't LeBron, he isn't Kyrie.....but he still fit in tonight and didn't sulk in the second. He didn't force or take bad shots, he kept the ball moving and just filled his role.....and for that, everyone wants to crush him. Ok, whatever.

Did he play well? No. Should he be the topic of conversation on a night when LeBron and Kyrie just did something no two teammates have ever done in the history of basketball?

Fuck no.

I honestly thought the same thing watching. Maybe I'm too biased, and that's why I'm trying to figure out where I can see some mathcup specific statistics for tonight, but I swear he played some really tough-nosed D. I thought he played some really good defense in game 4, as well.

He's particularly been good, at least by his standards, at the rim. He's challenging way more than he has in the past.

I also thought Love played well on defense, and showed a lot of hustle there, even if he couldn't keep up with the smaller Warriors always. There's a reason beyond his salary that Lue is giving him that many minutes.

There will come a time, probably in game 6, where his shot will be needed and hopefully he'll deliver. I'm not going to complain about Love during a road game win, and especially not one where it looked like the Cavs were the stronger, fresher, hungrier team down the stretch--and clearly on the defensive end. Strong team effort.

Looking forward to Thursday.

If there is one thing this Cavs team can do at times is overcome crooked refs and take hits. I mean that one ref must had lost a lot of money tonight. No matter what I will cherish this win rigged, influenced, or not.

He had near the end off the game a +11 or around there. His defense was good and he did things that do not show up on the stat sheet. I think we found the guy who can stop Iggy and we needed to find that. I am usually sarcastic when I rag on him. People need to remember this is his first Finals and LeBron laid into him. The guys needs this to be a winner in the future so sorry haters I still would trade him again unless it is a deal you can't refuse.

LeBron made a point to compliment all of Kyrie's game and "especially when he was guarding Steph."

DEFINITLEY a small dog at Stephanie's defense.

Probably been mentioned, but LeBron keeps his road win streak alive.

Pretty cool. Damn I wish we had won game 4. Guess he has to win two road games now.

I'm usually the one to criticize Kevin when he have bad games, which be more often than not, but tonight his offense wasn't there but I think he played some good defense. His body language also wasn't bad. He has terrible body language when he's struggling on offense. His whole being goes down the drain. I didn't see that tonight.

He did get down on himself but he stayed with in to get the job done on defense and that is all you can ask for when a player is losses his game.

ESPN or someone with them said if he has a game like this every night he could be as good as Steph??? WTF??? When did Steph average 41 ppg? I saw it in a RT a bit ago so I am not sure how this was meant but those were the words.

Actually, Kyrie would probably need to score 0 points in game 6 to be as good as Curry has been in these finals. If we are going by averages.
