Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I love music for me, music will never die because it has its own life.
The truly great stuff stands the test of time, but even lesser known bands can live for generations when personalized by the individuals. For instance, because I was in high school and then my early 20s when it was big, grunge is still very personal and brings back a ton of memories. I still will never turn off a soundgarden song or Temple of the Dog (Chris Cornell’s voice was insane) when I come across it on the radio.

A perfect intro to what I know you've all been waiting for....a cut from King Crimson on their 50th (yeah, that's right) anniversary. Their sound varies widely, and this is an intricate and dark progressive metal instrumental piece.

Also, it is live. No synthesizers, no drum machines...just the absolutely tightest band in the world. Put on headphones/earbuds, whatever, and crank it. First 1:45 is an intro, so skip to there to start the tune.

@The Oi

Can't find an official track, but here's guys from Genesis, Foreigner, and some ex-KC guys doing a tribute of a classic:

Jeff Lynne is eating their dust. You might actually like this one, @The Oi

Got a group of 8 going to see them tomorrow night at the MGM in Northfield.

Bill Bruford is insanely talented. Was lucky i found him in my teens — was a massive influence on my playing.

He's my favorite drummer -- I thought Yes was never the same after he left. Some of the stuff he later did with KC was just incredible, and his later solo stuff was awesome as well. He retired from playing awhile back, got his Ph.d, and is now a Professor of Music at Surrey. Incredibly inventive, so if he's a massive influence on your playing, that can only be a good thing!

Where has Sabaton been all my life?
Its wierd, as i get older, i find the love of the metal and hardcore of my youth(y angst) continues to grow even as my musical tastes grew well beyond it. Coming back full circle, i guess.

Performed on snl Saturday. She rewrote this songs final go of the chorus and I wish it had been the original and the chorus every time.

Wait for the last chorus, second listen through the song is wildly infectious
