New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I liked AP Bio, I wish they didn't cancel it. I watch alot of comedies in the background instead of putting on ESPN or news. I'm also not of fan of reality shows and procedural dramas which seems like so much of network and cable TV now.

I also find that cable and the streaming services won't schedule many shows against the fall network premieres until people really decide what shows they are watching from the networks.

Have you seen Snowfall? I just finished season three of that and it is awesome. I think the first two seasons are on Hulu. Definitely worth a watch.

That's a show I feel like I should go back and watch. I did watch a couple episodes of the first season but I think when the show first came out there was a ton of good shows on. It got lost in the shuffle for me. For some reason it's hard for me to jump into a show that has multiple season. I also have a problem getting hung up when I hit a bad episode or two and then the show piles up on my DVR.

Top Boy on Netflix is real good and should be along the same lines as Snowfall. Also the Wu Tang tv show on Hulu is real good. Both remind me of the wire. The Wu Tang show isn't that much about hip hop, it more about how they grew up.

New season of Always Sunny has been good. Neither episode is an instant classic but they're both consistently funny. The Thundergun episode was the better of the two. Getting Dolph Lundgren to play Thundergun was inspired casting given his past mentions on the show. Generally, I find some of the funniest episodes in the series are when the gang is in a room with a normal person who has to try to get them to stay focused. The Gang Gets Analyzed and Hero or Hate Crime are two other great examples of that.

We started watching Fargo. We're half way through season one, the show is fantastic.

Billy Bob Thornton still has the best individual performance to date on the show, but Season 3 is even better to me, mostly because I <3 Big Lebowski more than any other Coen movie.

I know the show isn't new, but I made it through 6 seasons of Letterkenny in about a month.

The most quotable show I have seen in a long time.

Peaky Blinders is still so fucking good.

New fall shows that's I've watched so far.

Bob (hearts) Abishola: This is basically a more diverse version of Mike and Molly. I'll probably give it a couple more episodes to make a decision if I'll keep watching. It will be a show that I just put on more than look forward to watching.

Emergence: I like the premise and hope it can build off the first episode. It seems like one of those shows that comes up every year that tries to be a mystery like Lost but can't last past the first season.

Stumptown: This just seems like a show that will be fun every week. It has a solid cast and it should have good source material since it's a adaptation from a comic.

Harmony: Seems like a comedy that fits into NBC's line up. Probably will watch it because I just like watching comedies. Not sure if it has anything to it that will make it long lasting.

Sunnyside: Another comedy but I think the cast of this has more potential and the premise is unique. Weird characters usually make for good comedies.

Carol's Second Act: Saying this a bad version of Scrubs might be too much of a compliment. I think they knew it was show that might be dead in the water so they added Ashley Tisdale in the scene at the credits. I'll give it one more episode to see is Tisdale make a difference but I don't have high hopes.

The Unicorn: A good cast that seems more hand picked than any other new comedy. If I had to bet on a comedy lasting and doing well, it would be this one. It just seems to have the mass appeal like Modern Family or Life in Pieces.

Evil: I think the premise of this is better than the actual execution of the show. After the pilot it feels like they can go in two very different directions. I'm hoping they go towards the supernatural but it seems like they want to disprove these potential supernatural events. It could get very boring and bad very quick.

I've given up on Evil. This show is either going to get cancelled early or be too boring to get thru a whole season.

I watched Almost Family and will not be watching the next episode. This might have been a decent show if it was a half hour comedy but as a hour long drama, it's just bad. Even the cast seem to be put together for a comedy.

Just finished watching Batwomen. Seems like a good start to add to the arrowverse.

Penny dreadful is also back. I think I'm the only person on this forum that watches this show, but this season has been outstanding thus far (5 episodes in).

Started watching/binging it last week. Second season nearly over, and it's great. Eva Green in particular is just incredible. She's scary as hell when she does her possession or incantation thing.

Can do without Dorian Gray, though.

Finished STRANGER THINGS season 3 last night after re-watching seasons 1 & 2. I liked it as much as the other seasons. They're already setting up season 4

In the last month+ I watched all three seasons. I rarely keep interest in any series, but the suspense kept my interest from beginning to end.

Working my way through Mad Men for the first time. Why the hell didn’t I watch it when it was originally airing?

The last new show I wanted to try out from the new fall lineup was Nancy Drew. I knew if it was in the same style as Riverdale that I would probably give up on it quickly. Surely enough I was done with it about 30 minutes in.

For some reason I can't stand the style of Riverdale but I actually really like Sabrina which is the only reason why I tried to watch Nance Drew.
