Started it back when it came out, lost it after the first couple seasons. Just started it over again in like 2018 or maybe 2019 and watched all six seasons through. One of my favorite shows as well!
Just finished season five of The Expanse. Good shit, although I think this season kind of exposed the weak links in the ensemble cast, as Holden and Alex were left to do largely nothing all season while Naomi did all the heavy lifting in the acting department and Amos provided the bulk of the entertainment.
Dominique Tipper should get an Emmy nomination for her work in the last few episodes this season. Goddamn was that a masterful performance that completely sold her desperation. She was great all season but just an absolute home run hitter the final three episodes.
Also loved the final scene, which was a nice nod to the books.
No idea how they're going to wrap this all up in one season, though, especially with the seeds they planted to close out five.
I also thought they really glossed over the damage to Earth. I assume they plan to get much more in depth on that next season but it was far too downplayed.

Thanks for posting this. They dropped a day early and I'm glad they did. Phenomenal season. I don't want to say that Amos and Naomi have carried the series, but they have definitely been my favorite characters since the beginning.
Holy fucking shit. Fred's death was a nice twist. Funny how they used his book death for Alex's exit from the show.
You are right about Dominique Tipper's performance. Masterful. Continues what the book started with strong, brilliant women. Draper, Avarasala, Drummer, and Naomi were well written and casted.
Laconia being hinted throughout the season with saving it for the end was a nice precursor to the jump in the series. I'm truly intrigued with how they finish it next season especially with Alex now not apart of the story.
I need to reread book 6,7,8 before next season and the final book.
I'm super late on this but I highly recommend The Americans for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. The last few episodes of the final season were exceptional.
Don't remember exactly which poster (might have been @Derek) recommended "Dave" on Hulu, but I totally co-sign on that one. Wife and I loved it and were laughing our asses off a bunch.

I thought they did as good a job as possible writing him off given that he got called out for being a sexual predator in real life by a Trumpian amount of women and had to go.

I love the twitter community(Screaming Firehawks) and am not shocked by these things anymore but their quick resolution while being thorough was good for the show. I was wondering if they were just going to recast or write him off. Again, the fact that they used Fred Johnson's book death for him was cleverly written. Having both Ty and Daniel as apart of the TV team allows them to make differentiations between the TV show and the Book world. Both are excellent and happy that resolved a clear issue.
I didn't think they were going to introduce Laconia until the end of next season especially with how the story changes with the final 3 books, but there was soooo much content and context delivered that I might have to re-watch the entire season sooner than I expected.
And it's one of the best translations of my favorite author's work, Elmore Leonard. Nobody wrote dialog and came up with odd ball characters better than Leonard did.
Other good translations: Get Shorty, Jackie Brown(book was called Rum Punch) and Out of Sight.
He also wrote a lot of Westerns, and good adaptions of those books are 3:10 to Yuma, Hombre and Joe Kidd(an original screenplay by him).
