New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't know that I'd really call it a crime show, as there aren't really any cop characters. The cops do play into things from time to time, but the show is squarely focused on the criminals and there aren't really any major characters on the show that work for law enforcement. It's like The Wire if it were entirely about the Barksdale gang and their rival drug crews.

The show is all about the horror that the Italian mob inflicts on the community rather than a typical crime show where it's cops versus criminals.

Yeah, I guess I should have specific that I don't generally like shows built around criminals. So that's the Wire, Breaking Bad, etc...

Probably should've done before I started S3 as I'm having a hard time keeping track of who is who other than some of the major players from the beginning.

I personally like Narcos Mexico more than Narcos
Narcos really fell off when they moved on from Escobar. The actor and character really held the show together in a way that other cartel couldn't even come close to.

Escobar was great, but he's no Don Neto.

Hearing the Wheel of Time series isn't very good.

Lotta specific LoTR references that make it seem corny is what someone I know said.

Watching episode 3 right now. The best part so far is the landscapes and scenery (and no I don’t mean the females). The world they created is awesome. The story has been a snoozer though.

Just finished Squid Game. Well written and excellently paced. I love the characters and how most are still kids that haven't grown up.

I suspected the old guy was someone sent by the rich people when he said he already knew the game was Gganbu and then deceived Gi-Hun about his memory loss. When he was 'killed off,' I thought I was just high and after that touching moment there was no way the old man was a plant... :chuckle:

Yea I've never read the books and there were some scenes that lookedl ike carbon copies of Lord of the Rings, down to almost the words. I dunno if they came from the books or not. If so, come on, Robert.

The one I'm thinking of was the troll things chasing them to the ferry. I mean...other than it being trolls instead of Nazgul, that looked like an exact copy of the ferry scene from Fellowship lol.

But i'm kinda enjoying it so far.

Anyone watching Mayor Of Kingstown?

If you thought Yellowstone was ridiculous and over the top, this show takes it to another level

I'll put both replies in spoiler tags

For anyone who has seen episode 1
If I had to guess I'd guess we soon find out Harrison has a "dark passenger" and Dexter maybe helps mentor him in a way that Harry did for Dexter?

@B Mac you won't want to read this one because you mention you have avoided casting decisions but
I am pretty sure I read that they casted John Lithgow, who played the trinity killer in season 4. Like Deb, he's dead, so he'd presumably just be a figment of Dexter's imagination

Pretty spot on guesses from you so far.

Also, we saw the answer on how they could potentially bring back a cast member tonight. Had a big goofy smile on my face during that scene.
