New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I actually think the opposite. Harrison looked visibly shaken seeing that much blood again. To steal your line, I don't think he has the chops to follow in his father's foot steps.

If I had to guess, I think he helps the police arrest Dexter, determined not to follow in the footsteps of the monster that killed his mother or like his monster of a father who left him and lost everyone he's cared about.

Either that or Harrison kills Dexter.

Thought the last episode was good and intense but the season as a whole has been rough. Clancy Brown has been great but most of the other new characters are pretty bad actors. Think there's been too much "ah so this is what the kids are doing these days" (surrounding the high school scenes and the podcast) mixed into the writing that just doesn't work for me

Regardless, much better than the finale from the original series

They could just film Michael C Hall taking a shit for an hour and it’d be better than the original finale.

I highly recommend everyone check out Yellowjackets on Showtime. Show is fucking wild, and tonight's episode was fan-fucking-tastic.

I just got caught up. Fucking wild is the best way to describe this show. It's like Lord of the Flies meets True Detective. Just incredible TV.

That ninth episode was an all-timer. So insane and fun.

I also love how the show slowly drains your empathy for Jackie over time as she reveals more of her true nature.

I was hesitant at first because I literally saw the trailer the night I finished watching Amazon's The Wilds, which it seems like both shows treads some similar waters, but the last few weeks I've been hearing a really great buzz about Yellowjackets and am going to check it out.

Still hope someone takes me up on the watching Station Eleven(season finale is Thursday so perfect time to binge right now) so I can get some input on if anyone else likes it.

I'm going to watch it in the near future.

Fuck all TV Shows after what they did to me with Dexter.

I can go on and say what they did to me with Lost and GoT too.

But the Dexter finale hit different.

There's a reason why Breaking Bad is like the best show ever. They didn't milk anything and told one hell of a story.

I am enjoying Yellowjackets fine but I guess it hasn't quite hit for me like it is for some of the rest of you. Like a 7.5/10 for me

Mayor of Kingstown I believe wrapped up this week. Paramount+ exclusive and co-written by Taylor Sheridan, who does Yellowstone. Stars Jeremy Renner who is basically, for lack of a better term, the "peacekeeper" in chaotic town full of crime and corruption. Like Yellowstone, it's almost laughably over the top at times but it was enjoyable. Episode 9 was probably the most intense episode of TV I can remember watching. Definitely an intense show.

Euphoria started back on up Sunday. Enjoyed the first episode quite a bit. I believe there are two hour long specials that released between Season 1 and 2 that I should probably get around to watching

Been watching 1883 as well. Also a Paramount+ exclusive and also from Taylor Sheridan and is supposed to be a ~150 year prequel or whatever to Yellowstone with the Dutton ancestors. Stars Sam Elliot, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw. It's good, but I struggle with it some since it can be bleak at times. At this point they are basically traveling by horse and cart from Fort Worth out to unsettled Oregon.

The Dexter reboot finale wraps up the series well

And both the director and the actor who played Harrison already talking about Season 2. Maybe its just their way of feeling out if Showtime will give them more money, but both have several quotes.

Some things should just end.

Yeah I have negative interest in watching a show with Harrison as the lead

I found the Dexter finale to be very rushed and kind of underwhelming, and it promised some stuff and then didn't deliver (like teasing a Dexter/Batista reunion and then completely abandoning it). It felt like they wrote thirteen episodes, were told they could only have ten, and then shoved everything from the last three episodes into the tenth episode instead of re-writing the season to make it more balanced.

Like, sure, it's miles better than the original ending, but to quote Jack Black, "Yeah, it was awesome...compared to bullshit!"

And I agree that I have no desire to watch a Harrison-focused show. Michael C Hall was the reason Dexter worked and without him, what's the point? Just let it die. You managed to cobble together an ending that didn't piss literally everyone off. Quit while you're ahead.

The face off tease of Dex/Batista was key. It was rushed. Dex killed an innocent Logan which felt completely rushed. Most of Dexter nation is pissed at the outcome.

And if they make a spin off with Harrison I hope it flops. But I'm 100% Dexter will be the new Harry and in every episode.

The episode before the finale was so damn good too.

I thought the ending was adequate and I hope they leave it there. I too have zero interest in watching a Harrison-led show.

Dexter was overall a good season. The stuff where this small town cop figures everything out in 2 days where as Lundi and some experienced FBI agents spent years on the trail and couldn’t…. Is pretty ridiculous.

Overall it is a more fitting end.
