New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Has anyone talked about Last Chance U: Basketball Season 2 yet? Oh my god, so good. If you saw the first season you'll already be familiar with John Mosley who is a remarkable human being. But the way they tell these kids personal stories is incredible. Just a really moving, really well done show. Also as an NBA fan a reminder that we are watching just the tiny top tip of a vast world of basketball effort and heart, only .00001% of which will ever be featured on TV or make it to the "big time". For basically all of these kids being any kind of starter, let alone a star, at a D-1 university program is out of reach.

Basically the whole Last Chance U series is terrific as a sports fan. The real world is deeper and more haunting than fiction.

You mean Coach Mosley? Yes, just amazing, inspiring human being. Also the other two coaches (coach rob and the wheelchair guy) are incredible people too. Glad coach rob got his own gig

Makes me feel good that there are people like that in the world

The coaches for the football seasons were a little off-putting for me. I was kind of rooting against them.

I'll check out the basketball versions.

Mosley is just a one in a million personality. He's a great coach and a great dude. Absolutely dynamic.

Season one was really good, the back stories of the players were special and the team was great

Mosley is a much more admirable human being than the football coaches. Very rare kind of dedication and commitment. But you know, still a coach and yells a lot lol.

Still, all of the coaches have been compelling and interesting characters even if not very admirable at times. A lot of “you couldn’t make this shit up” moments in these shows

No spoilers, but I hated the ending of season 1 so much it kind of retroactively spoiled the show for me

I can appreciate it for what it was (unintentionally/artistically). It ends up being a
a good period piece that shows how what happened really impacted everything. There was a robin Pattinson movie made a decade or two ago that had nothing at all to do with 9/11 that suddenly just.. everyone died 9/11 and that's the end, and that kind of primed me for something like this.

it's only 2 episodes in? we like to binge.
Yeah. I think this season has nine episodes, so if you’re looking to binge the whole thing at once it’ll be done in March.
