I feel like quite literally anything could happen in the final three episodes and I wouldn't be surprised. Oh, Christ returns and he was the one who sabotaged the chair to test Ron? Sure, I buy it.

I still think that motherfucker Douglas is behind it all, though.

The Last Kingdom is so fucking good. Just got through S1. If you're not familiar, think Game of Thrones only the non-fiction Viking/Danes vs Europe version.

Fantastic show. Utred is a great protagonist because he does enough stupid shit to make him credible. Not exactly the kind of guy you want marrying your daughter, though.

I really liked the portrayal of Alfred. They made him a wise leader, not just a big dude good at swinging a sword.

Every season is good and the movie that ties it all together at the end is a great sendoff.

Thank you! Had no idea there was a movie. Uhtred is a great character, duality of man personified. Meeting between him and Alfred end of Season 3 was so satisfying.

Skade...man a fucking live dude.

Took me a minute to realize that the university I went to was named after Alfred.

I went to school in London for first and second grade, and I remember reading a book about Alfred the Great. It included him sitting in that cottage when he was on the run, and burning the bread because he let his thoughts wander. Hadn't thought about it for a very long time until I saw it in TLK. Pretty cool.
 
Finished Widow's Bay. Great show and I highly recommend it if you love that Stephen King style of horror plus some good banter and comedy. I was really surprised by how funny the show was despite clearly not being a comedy. Each episode was good for at least a couple of great laughs. Stephen Root in particular shines as Wyck, who starts out the show as the opposition to Matthew Rhys' Tom, the mayor of the island of Widow's Bay who firmly does not believe in any of the supernatural bullshit when the show begins and is trying to turn it into a tourist destination. If you've seen Jaws (or one of the many movies inspired by or imitating it), you can see where this is going. The best word I can use to describe this show is fun. It's enjoyable and engaging from start to finish. I never found it particularly scary, but it's also not the type of horror that gets to me.

And I liked it, wanted to like it more. I tried, but it kinda fell flat for me midway point. Maybe one of the best pilot episodes ive ever seen (That and Pluribus)
 
I’m on episode six of Half Man and it’s been an incredible watch. The first episode is solid but it really ramps up the insanity in each subsequent episode. Niall is perhaps the most self-sabotaging character I’ve ever watched on screen, while Ruben is a charismatic loose cannon who feels like he could snap, see red, and curb stomp anyone in any given moment.

Looking forward to seeing where this one ends up. I know it won’t be anywhere happy.
 
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed has about the same level of quality you would expect from a Sunday afternoon movie. Nothing mind blowing but it’s a solid watch with good performances. I think it should be ending tomorrow. I recommend it.

"Mo" on Netflix is about a Palestinian family living in Houston. The protagonist is a guy who repeatedly shoots himself in the foot (figuratively) and makes every life situation more difficult. There is some decent acting, character development, and interesting concept that is different from what you normally see. I personally get frustrated watching stories where the main character constantly does stupid shit, but otherwise it is somewhat entertaining.
