New TV Series to watch

Finished the first season of Pluribus. The cold open of the final episode is one of the best TV scenes I have ever watched. It's an inconsequential scene to the main narrative that manages to show us so much and completely redefine what's at stake. The show is a bit uneven, but Vince Gilligan once again proves to be one of the best showrunners in television and I'm more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt at this point because neither Breaking Bad nor Better Call Saul peaked in the first season, and Gilligan stuck the landing on both. I thought the first season of Pluribus ended brilliantly and I can't wait to watch more.

If you like Mo, Ramy on Hulu is basically done by the same people. Very similar show. It's just weird that one is on Netflix and the other is on Hulu. They are basically companion shows.
 
Lioness on Prime (S1): 8.5/10. I respect Sheridan but don't always like his shit. This one? So fucking good.

Cant believe I've never heard of this. 100% up my ally.

Why? The dude has largely stopped trying to make good television because he’s figured out that making slop for boomers is free money. He’s Tyler Perry for middle aged and old white guys who drive pickups they’ve never put anything into the bed of.

Ramy is incredible. He may be the most frustrating protagonist I’ve ever watched, but the journey is amazing and you never know where he’s going next. Brilliant show.
 
Kinda late to the party. Finally giving foundation a chance beyond season 1 and season 2 is ripping! Thank the other posters that mentioned the expanse to peak my interest

It is really good. I can't believe I am saying this, but they need to slow down on the stories. So many things get wrapped up so quickly when they could have spent an entire season on some of the arcs they resolve in half an episode. If they're going to keep the episodes to under 30 minutes then they need to do more episodes a season.

Still going to watch, especially for that intro. The one special intro this season had me hooting and hollering IYKYK.

I would also add it's too many characters at this point. They need to reduce the storylines and characters so we get to spend time with the characters and stories, or they need to add more episodes or time to each episode.

It's still very good though but this could have easily been 20 episodes or multiple seasons.
 
I finally got around to watching the new season of Lioness. Damn. One thing that left an impression was the depiction of Ukraine, and I'm wondering how accurate it is. If it is even a little accurate, goddamn scary shit.

9.8/10, Watch this now

TLDR; Child that was trafficked turns into a serial killer for revenge. I promise you it's not what you expect, breaks and twists a ton of tropes which keeps you thinking. Acting is superb.

Taylor Sheridan plays such a fucking badass in this show. Would be shitty of a show creator to do this if they were a bad actor, but he pulls it off 10/10 times.
