New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Started rewatching Dark last night, as I want to get a refresher with the new season dropping at the end of the month. There are so many different characters, plots, and timelines on this show that it basically requires a rewatch.

I think the first episode of the show is among the greatest pilots I've ever seen. The way it is structured is brilliant. A man kills himself and leaves a letter for his mother, not to be opened until a specific day and time. The entire first episode takes place on that day, and the dread slowly builds as you know something bad is going to happen but not precisely what. Really clever design that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The music is wonderful too, with the theme at the start of the first episode calling to mind the time travel video game classic Chrono Trigger, and the rest of the music assisting in imparting the aforementioned dread on you.

If any of you guys haven't caught this show yet, now is the time. It's truly one of the best shows currently on television, with some of the tightest writing and best casting I've seen in any show. The story feels like it's a total mess due to all the different plot lines, but they always manage to give you just enough answers to keep you invested and the fact that they've known they planned to end it after three seasons means they probably know where they're going and that the story won't meander for two seasons longer than necessary until you stop caring like Lost did.

This is on the short list; gotta catch up on Dark, Better Call Saul S5 (whenever it comes to Netflix) and the final season of Mr. Robot but I was very intrigued by the previews.
Very good list.

Only seen a bit of Dark, but the other German Netflix show to watch is Parfum - also has a 2006 movie in addition to the recent show.

Sort of a German Dexter, but less comic relief/more disturbing.

As required by German law.

Has anyone else watched Uploaded?

So far it is very ok.

Just got done watching money heist on Netflix. For a foreign show with voice overs, I thought it was great. Great show and highly recommend.

There is a flat earth documentary on netflix, highly recommended with a bottle of booze.

you'll laugh, you'll yell, you'll weep for humanity

I wish I was able to laugh at this type of shit instead of becoming enraged that there are idiots of this magnitude. I suck.

I was just thinking...when Netflix or Amazon asks you if you're still watching a show, why do they include a "No" option? It's either yes or I'm asleep on the couch and not clicking either option until I wake up at 3am to take a piss and drag my dumb ass to bed.

Been watching The Shield for the first time.

It is incredible.

One of the best TV dramas ever, and it definitely has the best ending.

I'd rank it behind The Wire but I think I like it more than Breaking Bad. The ending is definitely less fan service.

I was going to say, it reminds me a lot of The Wire. Basically like the cable TV version of it.
