New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Went and got amc plus to watch the final season of better call saul and of course this shit streaming platform doesn’t even offer the full seasons of their content?

I think Netflix has streaming rights to better call saul so when season or half seasons ends, it goes to Netflix. Also I think AMC+ wasn't original made to be a standalone streaming service, it was for add on content and early access. It's hard to see it surviving as a standalone service as the streaming wars go on.

Yup… silly me for assuming!

I’m left with only one choice, I guess … well, two, but I ain’t paying for it.

I'm enjoying The Sandman so far (halfway through season one), but man do some of these shows need to make it less obvious that they're shooting on a soundstage. The story and the wild visuals are enough to keep the show interesting, but so much of it clearly looks like a guy standing alone surrounded by green screens to the point that it's distracting like the Star Wars prequels.

I know Mandalorian was shot in much the same way, but they managed to make that feel a lot more real.

Better Call Saul ended last night and it was the conclusion to a brilliant show. There were some really nice touches done this episode and like Breaking Bad I think the creators stuck the landing for a series finale. I won't even do a spoiler tag, but I really enjoyed it and I look at the whole arc of Saul Goodman and have an even larger appreciation for the character work.

Come to think of it, there have been so many popular shows that have fizzled out when it comes to the big wrap up, but I'd say the Breaking Bad world is one of the few to leave me satisfied each time.

PS: Almost done with The Sandman, and for a guy that read the Gaiman graphic novels growing up and remembering them fondly I'm getting a kick out of it all. It has its minor flaws, but I'd say it's a quality adaptation. That "24/7" episode and The Corinthian are fantastic.

Not a new show, but it's new to me...

Vikings, which is on Prime Video, has been awesome. If there was a TV show made about Braveheart (with Vikings instead of Scots obviously).

Well done all around. The musical score is fantastic as well.

I had to force myself to stop watching the Sandman yesterday. I’m at episode 7 and don’t want it to end. It’s absolutely brilliant. Even the slower episodes make it hard to not watch. Just the perfect example of a show done the right way, especially the casting and acting. I can’t recommend it enough.

Speaking of Michael K. Williams...

Wow.

How come no one told me that "Hap and Leonard" was absolutely amazing?

I thought I did a few years ago -- should have been more thorough in sharing and effusive in my praise!:angel: Quirky and odd in the best sorts of ways, but great show for me...glad you found it!

Well said...the series was simply excellent -- right through the finish line. Even left us with food for thought...

Just watched episode 1 of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. I found it actually very enjoyable. Really was expecting it to be subpar since “special effecting” a realistic looking hulk is so hard to pull off and the trailer effects were meh, but I honestly hardly noticed. The chemistry between Walters and Banner was very good and the typical Marvel comedy works well because of the style of the show. I definitely look forward to the remaining episodes.

Just a heads-up to those posters enjoying The Sandman, a surprise 11th episode appeared on Netflix yesterday. It's two stories in one episode with one being animated. Good stuff and I hope it's renewed for a second season.

That means I can watch another episode this weekend! Now there are 3 more instead of 2 remaining for me. I’m really trying to make this show last.
