NFL Off-Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My god people like this, who perform stunts intentionally (which is exactly why he hasn't taken down the Tweet), are assholes
Stunt? Maybe. I will always call them the Indians. My moms family grew up on the beltway in Northern VA. They will always call them the Redskins.
Doesn’t make sense why people get so bent out of shape for sticking to traditional stuff.

I'd bet on them to finish fourth in the division before I bet on them to win.

I think the odds of them having a better record than Philly are near zero.

I don’t think Dallas’s defense will fair as well this year and Philly has potential to be a top 8 overall team. At 5-1 I think it’s great value for a “no” bet (hedge)….I think Wentz is perfect for a Rivera offense.

I don’t think there’s a clear cut fav to win NFCE… phillys overpriced @+155, WSH got bumped to 6.5/1

No one else is gonna post about Justin Tucker signing a 4yr $24M deal?

Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reports the Dolphins "talked to other teams about potentially moving veteran receivers Preston Williams and Lynn Bowden."

Miami traded for Tyreek Hill and signed Cedrick Wilson a year after drafting Jaylen Waddle in the first round. At this point, they don't need much more than a few depth options to round out their roster. If they can get something for the receivers deep in their rotation, it makes sense for them to field calls. Williams flashed as a rookie, totaling 428 yards in eight games. He has never played more than eight games in a season and his role has been scaled back in every subsequent season. A hamstring issue forced Bowden to miss the entire 2021 season. Neither player will garner strong interest in trade talks.

NY Giants Darius Slayton on the block as well.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Bears LB Roquan Smith has requested a trade.

Smith, 25 is slated to play the 2022 season under his fifth-year option, which would net him $9.7 million. In a statement, he called out the new Chicago front office for failing to negotiate in good faith and not valuing him as a player. The team's latest offer, Smith said, would not just be bad for him, but for every linebacker in the NFL. The offer is reportedly backloaded and filled with de-escalators that could cost Smith serious money. Smith is a force in the middle of the field, totaling 163 tackles, three sacks, and 12 tackles for a loss in 2021. It appears unlikely he'll be in a Bears uniform this season. The team's new front office, headed by general manager Ryan Poles, is off to the rockiest start possible.
