NFL Off-Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Hasnt Russ really nosedived (nosedove?) each of the last few seasons? Great first few games then tailed off completely? Maybe its all because of Seattle's roster, but Im confused on how he still gets so much hype and expectation despite looking utterly pedestrian at times. Can someone clairfy my misunderstanding?

The last few years, it seems Seattle has started the season with the intention of going pass heavy and letting Russ cook, as the kids say. Eventually, though, Carroll always goes back to the run because that’s who he is.

Has the NFL announced the indefinite suspension for Aaron Donald yet? Surely he won’t get to play in a few days with his dangerous helmet swinging.

Pretty cool that Cleveland's failing newspaper is devoting resources to cover a football team located four hours away.

I hope they'll consider sending some staff to Pittsburgh as well. We have an informed interest because Mitch Trubisky. There's a deep affection for our rust-belt brethren in this city.

Note to Mary Kay: We could use a li'l more Ravens too. That's how you stay in touch with your base.

This seems very odd. Especially odd seeing as how the newspaper already has a team in its own city that it covers and now they decide to add a team 4 hours away. First thought that comes to my head and this is a general question. Is this in response to one of two things? Cincinnati is a Super Bowl contender and they are trying to jump on the bandwagon. Or is this a direct result of the Desaun Watson news. Have enough fans expressed their interest in a "new" team and Clevelanddotcom thinks in order to retain what little readership they have they need to cover one of those teams people are jumping to from the Browns?

I ditched the PD and cle.com years ago. They managed to fire Grossi and still get worse at covering sports or the news. Don't want to sell papers, less and less interested in writing articles for online, soon they'll be down to a dozen "reporters" doing nothing but podcasts on their IPhones. The lack of true journalism is either a cause or an effect of the dumbing down of society. Information age?? Only if you want to go get it yourself. Might as well just make up our own truths.

This and the fact that Seattle's offensive line has graded consistently as one of the worst over the last handful of years and Seattle never addresses it. You can't cook without the proper accouterments in the kitchen.

Does he have some sort of MVP-like year? I don't think so but it wouldn't surprise me to see him get back into top 10 QB shape the next few years before Father Time.
