Would be absolutely shocked if this team scores more than three times. I've got this one at 24-6

Carl Cheffers will be the referee.

He has been officiating in the NFL since 2000, and has officiated in 12 games in which the Browns were playing. We are 4-8 in those games, with the most recent being the 41-20 debacle defeat suffered against the Bengals in Cincinnati last year.

The Browns looked less than good during the preseason and earned our collective disappointment thus far. However, I feel like the local media is making the Steelers out to be something they aren't, good.

Offensively they will be ok as long as Roethlisberger remains in the lineup. The RB situations is pretty solid and that should be a good unit for them. Their offensive line is not great but at least they are fully healthy for the first time in a long time. Their WRs led by Antonio Brown are pretty good but Roethlisberger makes them better.

Defensively they are still coached by god himself, Dick Lebeau, but they don't have enough players. Their D-Line does not stand out. Their linebackers don't get to the QB well enough and are starting a rookie in Shazier for the first time in seemly forever. Their secondary is pretty old.

Ultimately I think the Steelers will win because they always beat the Browns but I think it's going to be closer than most people think.

Steelers 20
Browns 13

We are 1-14 in season openers since 1999.

I think we follow the trend today.

Lets goooo brownies!!

Give me something to watch for more than the first quarter

I just took a great shit, Browns will sneak a win out with a Phil Dawson field goal... wait...

My prediction: 28-20 Steelers and I hope the Browns blow them out.

Things to watch for:

- Can Barkevious Mingo keep Roethlisberger uncomfortable. Mingo has the speed to get to Big Ben, but can he sustain a pursuit after Ben rolls out of the pocket?

- Will the receivers actually catch what's thrown to them? Drops continue to plague the Browns season in and season out. The team needs to sustain drives, which means getting multiple first downs and converting on third down. Drops will stunt Hoyer's best effort, I hope the receivers focus.

- Who is Jordan Cameron? We know he's athletic and we know his routes are better. Can he keep the intensity he needs to make stuff happen and be the safety valve Hoyer will need for the blitzes? Look for Ryan Shazier covering Cameron at times when he runs a cross or curl.

- Put up or shut-up time for Buster. I like Buster Skrine a lot and I think he's got a ton to offer this defense. Can he stay confident and stay away from penalties? All 3 "starting" corners will probably see Antonio Brown... Limit his impact.

- Paul Kruger or Scott Fujita? What is Kruger? I hope he continues to show up like he has in the pre-season.

- Turnovers. Please don't turn the ball over gents..

Prediction: Defense is solid for the first half, Browns combine for 3 turnovers by halftime.

Steelers start pulling away in the third and turn it into a blowout in the 4th. but Hoyer puts a drive together in junk time. Most everyone on the board is calling for Manziel by 4pm.

37-17 Pittsburgh.

Browns continue the weekend from hell

Steelers 31
Browns 6

Wow, I am not liking all this negativity... 19-9 brownies
