NFL Week 16 (12/22/13): Browns (4-10) @ Jets (6-8) [1:00 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A lot of overreaction. The Browns will benefit from losing this game but they are far, far, far from being the worst team in the league from a talent standpoint.

We should expect to see upwards of 6 Pro Bowlers on this team.

Name some teams that are worse.

I'm thinking on offense that Gordon, Cameron, Thomas, and Mack all have a chance but Thomas and Gordon are the only ones who are realistic. On defense the players in the discussion are Haden, Ward, and Taylor with only Haden being realistically chosen.

7 players worthy of a look with 3 actually having a shot at making it because we're not playing winning football and they don't get a lot of exposure. And this year I think Thomas makes it mostly on reputation, its been a down year for him.

How many of those players are long term options here when due for a big contract they're released or cut because of lack of production (Thomas)?

I appreciate blinkster trying to be extremely positive but come on man, you've been wrong about the Browns all year. Please God, no one complain when the Browns are predicted to be a bottom top 10 again next year. Its just the logical thing to do until this shit franchise can prove otherwise.

Are you actually suggesting we'll cut Joe Thomas because he went from top 3 LT to top, lets say, 7 LT this year? A down year for him is still better than most NFL lineman. He's still got a lot of years left and has been loyal to us, no way we cut him.

Mack is debatable if we re-sign him because of the front offices history and what they value the C position as. We don't know, but we perceive they don't put a lot of value on it and therefore we won't offer him enough to stay. I personally believe the only way we won't sign him is if he doesn't want to stay here and therefore refuses to sign a reasonable offer. Same exact thing for Ward. I think they make a reasonable offer and won't break the bank for him, and if he likes it here he'll sign.

I love that this thread was only three pages. Exactly what that shit-stain product deserves.

Start by getting more into fantasy football. You'll start caring more about your players than the Browns when they players go up against the Browns. Then if you get a couple Browns, you'llcare more about them getting fed than them winning.

You can also just actively stop caring due to embarrassment by the product.

Once you realize these owners, managers and players don't cir a shit about you or the city, you'll find that much easier.

Fantasy Football players are the worst type of people to watch games with.

I played fantasy the first time this year. I won the championship (through trades and pickups, I had a ridiculous 4-headed monster at RB with Peterson, Charles, Murray, and L. Bell). But, ultimately, I hated how much my viewing of NFL games changed. I shouldn't give a fuck about how many yards DeMarco Murray had in a huge loss to Chicago. It kept me interested into the playoffs, but am not sure I I will do it again.

Yeah, people say this and I don't get it.

These organizations don't give a shit about you as an individual and a lot of them find it ridiculous that the fans care and identify so much with the teams, gaining zero financial gain from their actions.

At least with fantasy sports, there's potential financial gain- however small or large- and you have a certain level of control over the outcome.

I don't give a shit how someone else or I watch the games, particularly because the team I follow is awful to watch with the exception of the two guys I drafted this year.

The only fantasy people I don't like watching with are ones I'm playing.
