I don't get it.

Hmmm... also said they THINK maybe a sprain.

Browns obviously fear serious knee injury for Brian Hoyer. Exited with crutches, couldnt put weight on it. Too swollen to get clear MRI read
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 4, 2013

It's a mistake.

It's a mistake.

Not that I'm more in the know than Rapoport, but he was able to put weight on it when heading to the locker room, no?

I'm led to believe he was on crutches because they didn't want him putting weight on it.

doesnt matter. he can have significant ligament damage and still be able to walk. the knee has 4 ligaments, 2 basically for straight ahead movement (one on each outside part of the knee), and 2 for lateral movement (they cross on the inside of the knee). so basically he could have torn the 2 interior ligaments of his knee and still be able to walk straight ahead just fine (or without a whole lot of giveaways that something is wrong)

:chuckles:

Crazy game. My voice is shot...almost got in a few fights with Bills fans that were a little too comfortable after the Hoyer injury.

Oh, and I watched the whole thing unfold right in front of me. Hoyer tore ligaments. He's done. Hope all you want...dude's knee got fucked up. Incredibly sad.

Excellent game! Much needed for my soul.

Just means the swelling took hold. Once the injury has had time to swell the knee becomes a lot harder to move.

My observations from my seats.

- Oline had their best game easily. McGahee is still slow, but he can read blocks. If Richardson had McGahee's vision, he'd get 1,500 a year.

- Was it me, or was the PI on Ward a terrible, terrible call? If that was PI, then JC was interfered with in the endzone as well.

- Teams got a bit of blueprint on how to run against the Browns. Stretch plays to outside. The run D still did well outside of Spiller's long TD, but that was the most running space any team has gotten against us. I fear what Jamal Charles can do.

- Bills fans travel well. But for the first half, I swear every Bills made at least 2 trips to the concession stands. It was a constant stream walking up and down the aisles.

- I have irrational hope for Greg Little. With Gordon, Cameron and Bess on 3rd downs, he's a 3-4 option at best. Given his size and strength, he can be a great 4th option. Just don't let him return kicks.

Keep in mind that the Bills are the #2 rushing team in the NFL. Even if other teams may try to do the same, they may not have the personnel to get it done against our front 7.

I agree. The Pats had a blueprint on how to stop the Peyton Manning Colts, but only the Pats could do it.

I think there isn't enough talk about the fact Sheard, Winn and Groves are out. Saw a few runs up the gut. Winn could help. Groves is nice depth. We all know Sheard can be a monster, and he was showing great stuff in the Vikings game before going down.

Also, Mingo clearly lost contain on the Spiller TD as well as a few other times off the top of my head. If our whole OLB lineup was healthy, he may not be on the field for that down since we usually use him as a situational pass rusher.

Mingo still looked excellent throughout the game at getting pressure on the quarterback. Didn't register a sack this week, but he showed off an impressive arsenal of moves I have seen him use before.
