He's not great yet, but he is looking good defensively and has started hitting his shots. He can also clearly play with other well, which would have been crucial with the Cavs.

Altman's asset spending and drafting so far have brought us to a point to where we're about to win 50+ games with no one in our starting lineup being older than 26, and we only have one current regular rotation player over the age of 30. Things could be a whole lot worse right now. Imagine if we had taken Jarrett Culver over Garland

Patience, we'll have picks to trade again in the 2024 offseason. Until then we're bargain hunting.

They helped turn the Cavs into a 22-50 win team, to a 44-38 play-in team, and now we're looking at a 45+ win team sitting at the fourth seed in a cut-throat Eastern Conference. The Cavs would be 2.5 games behind from the first seed in the West, and with the way the Nuggets are playing, catching them would've been possible.

Jury is still out on the LeVert trade. We will see how he does in the post-season, but with how expensive wings were this trade deadline, it's possible acquiring LeVert would've taken more capital this season than last season.

Any further progress will depend on DG's and Mobley's development and acquiring shooters (which includes a 3&D SF). All the other pieces are in place, locked up, and young.

With the way he's currently playing, he's worth it and more. But we have seen flashes like this all season long. I need to see some consistency before I'm not willing to trade him for a shooter that could be had with a late first round pick.

I'm not trading him for the 26th pick just to trade him for the 26th pick, no.

Leverts definitely been worth it this year. The question for me is his next contract. This has been his healthiest year even in his NBA career (he’ll have the most minutes he’s ever played by far). Hopefully his tendency to be injured won’t show up again in the future.

Koby does have a good eye for trades too, hard to doubt that. As is well known around here though, I’m haunted by the possibility that his inability to drive a harder bargain with Ainge for Mitchell could end up costing us a championship, or worse if Mitchell doesn’t re-sign. With how the three live players we traded are turning out the trade was a closer call than it originally looked. But yeah, we’re a 50+ win clear playoff team. The key is whether we have the ammo left to take the next step and become a real contender
