"There will always be people who take the opposite side of him regardlrss of what happened and how many of the details they know"

he's a celebrity athlete and people are pretty shitty to that type of person (as evidenced all throughout this board and every other board) and the dude is just trying to go home and people won't stop fucking with him.

Sometimes bullies need to be hit in the mouth for them to stop

Like I said, there will always be excuses made for his behavior.

Reading this post...it's so much harder for you to figure out a half-assed defense for Odell than it is to just point out the obvious. He's entitled. Rules shouldn't apply to him.

What possible context justifies his behavior? Respond to the flight attendants. Put your seatbelt on. Comply with the staff. These aren't big asks. These aren't asks specific to Odell versus any other passenger on that plane. C'mon man.

The interaction with the old man doesn't even matter besides making both individuals look like fools.

I just asked Chat GPT to come up with a list of worst places to get into a fight with someone in front of a camera.

Before it broke down, it answered “airplane on a runway,” three times.

Saw some more context to the OBJ vid.

I think the dude was up on some kind of pills/hungover/tired/hungry and annoyed they were fucking with him and got triggered by a white boomer shaming him.
Yeah, the white guy is to blame. Got it.

If he wanted to be drunk, high, incoherent or whatever he was and with his pants off and do as he liked, maybe he should spend all that money to get his private jet before fucking all the other passengers and their plans and connecting flights.

Look at his entire past and career. Since he was a kid, never held accountable for a damn thing. All because he use to be fast and catch a ball with one hand

I didn’t say the white guy was to blame.

From what I can see, OBJ’s behavior and language changed when that guy got involved. From what we can see, he was polite to the people on the video before that.

The attendants claim he was pretty much unresponsive to them.

That’s an OBJ thing.

I agree.

I don’t know what OBJ’s life was like as a kid. His teammates claim to like him.

In this situation, he comes off like an entitled possibly pilled up asshole.

Based on Monday’s bitcoin prices, and assuming that Beckham did convert a lump sum of $750,000 into bitcoin when the deal was made in November, that salary would now be worth about $401,500, and, despite the drop in value, he would still have to pay taxes on income as provided to him at its $750,000 value.

That article is kind of old By January, all said and done after taxes, Beckham ended up losing his entire salary from the Rams.

I guess that explains why he was flying with the plebs. I would have thought he had made enough money in his career to charter flights.

I’m sure you’re being glib.

But there was an SI article back in the 90s that claimed 78% of NFL players went broke after two years of retirement.

Some measurements have been put in place since then to prevent this, so it might well be much lower.

But nothing is stopping guys from making unsound financial decisions like taking their salaries in bitcoin or erupting at passengers on airplanes and becoming pariahs around the league.

Something is telling me OBJ doesn’t have MORE money right now than he did at his peak. This was actually the second time he did something like this on a “regular” plane, and yelling that specific type of shit would be odd for somebody who is wealthy and secure.

Just my take. LOT of guesses here.

I’d say that stat is probably a little misleading because your average NFL player likely only has a two to three year career and doesn’t make tens of millions of dollars. And back in the nineties they made way less.

I still don't agree that Mike Tyson should have beat the shit out of the guy who wouldn't stop antagonizing him on that plane, but imagine if just the video of him beating the shit out of that guy came out without the first 95% of the interaction
What OBJ did here was not cool but I don't feel one bit of sympathy for that idiot Tyson beat up on the plane.

What was the dig? He just said, "Well I was in Cleveland." He was responding to a question about how it would be playing for a big city like LA or NY. Do people think people from NE Ohio has some delusional take that Cleveland is a big city?

People trying to make something out of nothing?

Oh it's a dig. A li'l one, but a dig for sure.

More crying and disregard to the fact the Browns got fleeced
