I know with FA hitting, and the Draft following, there will be a rush of articles about the Browns and pottential FAs.

So, instead of filling up other threads, you can post them here.

So this is like a news thread.

And I am looking forward to Gizman's posted articles in here cause I know he posts the latets news on here.

This will be like the gathering of Browns News. You don't have to search the web for Brownie news. We got it right here.

Please, so we don't conflict with any rules, if you are posting a article, copy and paste like the begining 3 paragraphs, then give the link where the people can read the rest.

I got some news: RELEASES!

As seen on NFL Network Carolina released Brenton Buckner, Rod Smart, and Stephen Davis.

Denver releases Jeb Putzier, Trevor Pryce, and MIKE ANDERSON.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Defensive tackle Sam Adams was one of three players released by the
Buffalo Bills on Wednesday in a significant salary-cap purge.

Safety Lawyer Milloy and tight end Mark Campbell also were released in moves that saved the Bills an estimated $9.1 million in salary cap space. The team has not determined whether to release veteran receiver Eric Moulds, who rejected the Bills' offer to restructure his contract earlier this week.

The Dolphins conducted a salary-cap purge Wednesday, trimming $14.475 million in cap money by releasing four veterans, including former Pro Bowl cornerback Sam Madison.

The Dolphins also cut backup cornerback Reggie Howard, left tackle Damion McIntosh and strong safety Tebucky Jones. The moves effectively get the Dolphins under the anticipated salary cap of between $92 and $95 million, according to NFL Players Association figures.

Oops, why didn't you say anything?

Some of the articles I post you need required access to view them. But mostly it's just an email address that get's you in. But for articles such as ESPN insider I will still post the entire article.

Brentson Buckner seems a little on the older side, not sure of his age however. I'm settled on Ma'ake Kemoatuea I want that guy more then any other DT out there. He is the perfect fit and he would come at the expense of the Ratbirds :D

Well, how about this. Instead of pasting the whole article, just read it, and past only the important parts.

And still post the link even though u need special access.

This way, we get to read what we only want or what is important, and we don't violate any of the RCF rules.

You dig?

March 13, 2006 -- LaVar Arrington arrived Saturday night, left yesterday afternoon and did not take along with him an agreement to play for the Giants. That doesn't mean a deal can't be made down the road but, for now, the former Redskins linebacker remains an intriguing and available free agent.

After first visiting the Dolphins and then the Giants, Arrington will take a break while he confers with his agent, Carl Poston, to plot the next course of action.

No other trips are scheduled, but a few likely will follow, as more than a dozen teams have called to express interest. Poston wants to study the 25-30 contracts already signed thus far in a hot-and-heavy early stage of free agency.

"There's nothing going on, believe me," said Poston, referring to rumors that Arrington was close to signing with the Giants.

There is no doubt Arrington is seeking a big payday. Take into account that another linebacker, Will Witherspoon, signed a six-year, $33 million contract with the Rams, a deal that includes $15 million in guaranteed money. Also take into account Poston wants more than that for Arrington, based in part that Arrington has made three Pro Bowls and Witherspoon has not been in any.

Already, there's a lobbying effort within the Giants' locker room to bring Arrington aboard. The Giants scored a major coup in last year's free-agent market by signing Antonio Pierce, another former Redskins linebacker who came to view the chaotic Washington experience with disgust.

Pierce, who had a splendid first year with the Giants cut short by torn ankle ligaments, badly wants to be reunited with Arrington. With the departures of Barrett Green (cut) and Nick Greisen (unrestricted free agent), there's a glaring need for a weak-side linebacker, and there was a time when Arrington was considered a franchise player at that very spot.

The Browns, who entered the free-agent market with $27 million to spend, already have been aggressive, and Cleveland might be a place where Arrington will eventually land. paul.schwartz@nypost.com

Bryant gets bonus in excess of $5M from 49ers
By John Clayton
ESPN.com

The 49ers swapped the potential of wide receiver Brandon Lloyd for two draft choices from the Redskins, but they replaced him with one of the best receivers left on the free agent market.

Antonio Bryant agreed to a four-year, $15 million deal with the 49ers that included a signing bonus in excess of $5 million. The irony of Bryant's signing is that the 49ers tried to sign his replacement in Cleveland, Joe Jurevicius.

Jurevicius signed a four-year, $10 million deal with the Browns in order to return to his hometown. Bryant went to the 49ers to be their No. 1 receiver.

He's coming off a 1,009 yard season with the Browns after catching 69 passes. He will reunite with a former teammate of his at the University of Pittsburgh, halfback Kevan Barlow.

Bryant, 25, has been in the league four seasons.

Linebacker Willie McGinest appears ready to begin life without the Patriots.
Having heard nothing from the Pats since they released him last week, McGinest will visit the Cleveland Browns today to start a process he believes will lead him out of New England.
“There are a lot of great memories from all those seasons in New England,” McGinest told ESPN.com yesterday, “but they’re called memories for a reason. I’ve still got some history to go out and make.”
McGinest may opt to make that history with the Browns, who are coached by former Patriots defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel. The two remain close.
A number of other teams are interested, with the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins considered potential suitors.
The Patriots cut McGinest rather than pay him a $3.5 million roster bonus. He stood to make at least $7 million next season.
The 12-year veteran was the first draft pick of the Kraft family in 1994 out of USC. He blossomed as a leader during the last five seasons, helping the Patriots to three Super Bowl titles.
“Given what they did for me as a player and a person, I can’t be bitter, and I actually owe them a great deal, certainly,” McGinest told the Web site. “But at the end of the day, they’re the ones who put me out into free agency, right? I’ll never close the door. But since they cut me, they haven’t called at all to see how we might be able to (construct) a contract to bring me back, and I don’t see it happening. So it looks like they’re moving ahead without me. And I’m moving forward, too.”
McGinest relishes the idea of helping a new club scale heights previously reached by the Patriots, even if it means leaving New England.
“Part of what excites me, really, is the chance to maybe help a team and help other players achieve some of their goals,” McGinest said. “You name it, and I’ve pretty much been there and done that. At this point in my career, the individual (accomplishments) aren’t as important, not anymore. I’m developed. I’m primed. I’m a team guy who knows his role. If that role is with a new team, well, so be it.”
