I think some of the major moves we should make are, resigning Millwood, Wickman, Beliyard, and Howry(I think he's a FA). I wouldn't be surprised if we don't bring back Blake and use that money towards a right handed power hitter. Also I think we should work Garko into the starting role at first base.

We extended Blake's deal at the beginning of the year with Hafner and Victor and I beleive CC too. I don't want to even talk about the Indians right now It's way too draining...I'll re visit this in 2 weeks.

Sign Howry and Sauerbeck and let Wicky walk while grooming Cabrera for the role of closer. I'd love to see Craig Monroe in RF next year with a Blake/Garko platoon at 1B. I think Millwood is gone and if Elarton were smart he'd seriously look at San Diego (flyball pitcher in a HUGE park, he could be very effective). I think you'll see another vet #3 pitcher brought in and Carmona/Davis starting in the #5 spot until Jeremy Sowers is ready in Buffalo.

I think Howry would be next in line for the closer job if Wickman retires. Cabrera could fit right into the role Howry did last season.

What we really need on this team is an automatic RBI bat. Our biggest problem was leaving RISP's. On base even. We need a big bat to take the pressure off of all our youngins. Broussard/Blake did not cut it. Belliard is solid, but not as reliable as we want. All it will take is a vet to stick right behind Vick to pound his ass right to home plate after his double-a-game he had with us this season. Of course it won't happen every day, but enough to make us a solid contender to actually make the playoffs. Give me a Ken Griffey, Carlos Lee, maybe even roll the dice with Sammy Sosa. Throw some money where it counts, please.

Sosa isn't a free agent, I'd love Carlos Lee Craig Monroe any one of them would be a sweet pickup. I hope we can get a better bat or we are basically the same team as last year..

After a great deal of preseason hype from Sosa and Orioles management, Sosa had a mild start to the season, which was followed by terrible slumps during mid-season. The slumps caused then Orioles manager Lee Mazzilli to drop Sosa as low as the 7th spot in the lineup. When Sosa's slump continued, Mazzilli resorted to benching Sosa. Sosa eventually returned to the lineup and while the slumps did subside somewhat, he still had problems producing as a hitter. Towards the end of the 2005 season, Sosa had another mysterious injury and spent a great deal of time away from the team. Sosa finished the season batting a mere .221 with a dismal 14 home runs, his worst numbers since 1992. He is not expected to be resigned by the Orioles.

Not a very promising bit, but it at least states that he's going to be an FA. But he's a proven big-time hitter that we could use if we could get it for cheap. If his cork days are behind him and we forget about it, then we get another guy that could potentially bat around .300 with 120 RBI's
