I know it's early, but Okongwu looks like a massive bust. I'm talking Anthony Bennett level bust. He even reminds me a bit of Bennett.
And it nicely sets up the “take a flyer on him, he was a high pick, he must have some talent” narrative 2-3 years from now. The one that currently has Frankie Smokes as the object of much of the board’s affections.I wasn't terribly high on him and thought he was years away from contributing on any serious level, but he's played what, 5 games? I'm just happy Koby didn't go with Onyeka. Had he gone that route, the Jarrett Allen trade probably doesn't happen & the whole rebuild goes to heck.
Hawks haven't really played him at all. He started out injured, and with Capela, he can really get on the floor. Of the top 10 picks, he is getting the least minutes. ROY is easily Lamelo Ball.
