MANTUA, Ohio Officials in northeast Ohio say the six-year-old niece of Cleveland Browns owner Randy Lerner has died in a go-kart accident.
Portage County Sheriff Duane Kaley says Emma Beck lost control of her go-kart and it flipped into a creek, where the girl drowned Sunday.
A coroner's investigator says the girl's parents found her in the upside down go-kart in four or five feet of water. She was still strapped into the seat and was in the water for at least 20 minutes.
The Browns released a statement expressing the organization's sympathies and prayers, and asking that people respect the Lerner family's privacy as they mourn the girl's death.
