OT: Richard Sherman is my new hero

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not sure why people expect these guys on ESPN or the radio to honestly know that much about sports. First off, it gets on my nerves when people refer to Skip and Stephen A as "experts" and expect them to have infinite knowledge of sports. There is a reason you see guys like Skip and Stephen A on First Take every day. There is a reason there are morons on sports radio. If ESPN wanted to provide you with a show where the analysts actually knew what they were talking about, they could VERY easily do so. But they couldn't care less about guys who know what they are talking about, they want guys that have strong, bone-headed opinions and stir up controversy.

ESPN has no integrity. If that exchange with Skip were to bring a ratings boost, they would just roast him everyday like Sherman did.

Not to go off topic, but it amazes me how many media members whose job it is to know the game inside and out dont know more then the average member of a message board.

It isn't their job to know the game inside and out though. In the case of First Take, it is their job to have bold and irrational opinions that create debates. In the case of that guy on the radio, it is his job to talk about something that will spark interest in listeners.

Are you guys serious? Sherman looked like an idiot out there. He was avoiding all the questions and allowed Skip to get under his skin.

Bayless is so good at trolling, Sherman got worked, and thats all Skip wanted.

Sherman sort of sounded like he was going to cry too.

Punk move. Skip is annoying, but he is a sports journalist put on a national network to entertain.

I dont care what youve accomplished, you never try and punk someone at their job. If you dont like the guy avoid him, LBJ does, so can you.

Smooth, please reconsider your life if this guy is your hero.

Stephen A didn't know what to say

So what had skip said previously that could have set off Sherman?

You know someone is shitting the bed when even Stephen A. starts cringing. How in the holy hell did this man graduate from Stanford? He sounds like an immature teenager trying to sound smarter then he is.

This douche makes lebron look like a scholar and a saint.

I applaud Skip. Dude, you lose all respect when you have to get personal, and attack the man's personality like he did.

I am not saying Skip doesn't say idiotic things at times. We all know he can. I'm not saying you can't even clown him a bit on the stuff he says, too. But the way Sherman just says "I am a better person than you", made me laugh at him.

Skip didn't get personal. Sorry, Skip looked fine, Sherman looked bad. I like that Skip never is afraid to at least say what he thinks. Whether its absurd, or not, I have always respected him because of it. He's one of the few people on ESPN I actually will watch.

So many of them are phony as they come. Whether you love, or hate Skip, he is who he is.

"Is not afraid to say what he thinks" - there's a lot of idiots in sports media that aren't afraid to say what they think and I still don't respect them because they are stupid

I give Skip a pass though because he believes absolutely nothing he says, it's what ESPN tells him to say.

What Mark Cuban did to skip Bayless was great and brilliant. What this guy did to Skip Bayless was give Skip the opportunity to seem genuine and classy.
