Our Billboard goes down Tuesday

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just want to say thanks for everything Glen. When that billboard went up, I truely felt it represented all of Ohio's feelings toward 'the guy who left' and its heart breaking to know that it's going down way too fast. I hope one day we can celebrate another player of this caliber and he would embrace the fact that the fans from a city like this make the player who he is.

I would suggest to keep it for memories sake but its too cold to hold on too. Everytime you read that message, you think of how ungrateful a man like him was. Not only did God bless you to play less than 40 miles where you spent your whole life, he gave you fans that would appreciate you more than any other person IN THE WORLD could.

It's another heart break for the city, but another beginning to look forward too...

Glen I live in Canada and I saw the billboard on Sporsnet and Sportscenter (the Canadian version). I remember thinking how nuts it is that your billboard was about to be seen by 5-10 million Canadians, and then not to mention it was seen on ESPN, ABC (during playoffs). In total I would think over 30 million people saw your billboard. To me that is amazing Glen and congratulations.

so it is flame resistant???...

How well would it doing wiping my a$$ after dropping the kids off at the pool???...

oh wait, my a$$ is way too pretty to be touched by him.

I was proud when the sign went up and the achievements that were made by Cavs fans to get it done. Just know that I'm on this site that made it happen gives me warmth inside and a great pride in knowing that I have the priveledge to say I'm a member and get to associate with other Cavs fans from all different walks of life.

When he made the decision last Thursday, I felt more for all the fans and alot of the members of this board that made that billboard happen, because of all the time and preparation was put into it and the years we spent cheering on the team and hoping we was our 1 piece to get us over the top and bring home a championship.

His decision made it sound like we don't deserve him.

F*** him, he doesn't deserve us.

I love all you Cavs fans out there.

Thanks Glen, for the best online site for Cavs fans to mingle.

Ship it to LeCoward's new house in Miami along with a nice F-You note signed by all the TRUE fans here at RCF.

Thank you Glen for all of your hard work on it. We as Cavs fans and members of RCF have absolutely nothing to be ashamed about.

RCF is a great community of Cavs fans and good people!

Rip it up in tiny ( maybe 12inches x 12 inches ) square. Sell them individually? That way you get the satisfaction of cutting it up, but also sell it.

I was there to see the billboard going up. First game of the 2010 playoffs against the Bulls. The atmosphere was great downtown, as we were all excited for what we thought was going to be a great championship run. It's a shame to see it end like this, but as the old adage goes, the sun will rise for another day. Hopefully, a better day.

Is there like a plan for everyone to get together and burn LeBron things? I remember Roda mentioning something like that.

I know Swings 'N Things out here in Olmsted Falls is planning (or already had it) a LeBon Fire where everyone can throw in their cherished LeBron paraphernalia.

My only fear is that someone in Miami buys it and puts it on their building to make fun of us.

I would think that if it was put on a building in Miami, it might have an opposite effect and be a constant reminder of how he screwed over his home town. Go ahead and sell it to help maintain the forum of the best fans he ever had...

The billboard is officially down. I will try to decide what to do with it in the next couple days. I know I can't leave it laying around for nothing. Cutting it up was an idea but when I looked at it, there would be tons of blank cut outs of just black ink, that would be no good. We'll see. Possibly eBay.

i love the idea of selling it glen, someone will buy it and you can use the money to keep the site going. who cares where it goes, because the money would get the site going for some time.. well i would hope.

BigMar, if they're not planning on calling it a LeBronfire, they're missing out on a huge opportunity. :chuckles:

Damn... Just skimmed your post, didn't even notice they DID use the name. Lol. I'm an idiot.
