for the season

Anderson seems to have benefited the most from Dengs arrival. Jack is playing more or as effective with nearly 7 less minutes a game. Expect Dengs passing to improve as he gets acquainted with his teammates and where they normally are on the court.

There is an old saying that advanced statistics are good for confirming hunches you already know. I agree that the team needed a ball mover who can score from a variety of positions on the floor to go along with Dion and Kyrie, who really duplicate each other in how they approach offense. Deng has been a great addition for understanding team assists, and its been equally great getting rid of Bynum. Everyone on the court at the same time as Bynum has seen a great spike in productivity now that he is gone. I saw flashes of Bynum drawing double teams and getting the ball to the right person, but he wasn't efficient enough with the ball in his hands for a good offense to funnel through him anymore.

I think this team could and should average about 25 assist a game. This brings up the teams shooting percentage and points per game. I also think Kyrie is being smarter with his dribble.I was watching his assist early in the season and he would frequent get assist when he was about to lose his dribble and got rid of it. then at different points in the season you see him accomplishing a similiar result before he got into that situation.

I think passing wise. Thompson has similiar passing abilities as AV but not the awareness. That will come in time. right now id rather see Thompson take the shot or reset the offense when he is in the low to mid block and shoot or reset if he is under the basket.

/Mourn Hoopdata and their assist by range charts. 82games was updated tonight so ill use their passing breakdowns

Dengs passing is a small sample and he is still working himself in the offense so i put his Chicago numbers in.
What I like about Dengs passing is he is focused inside the perimeter and he gets the ball to guys in the paint. Delly does the same he just doesnt seem to get people under the rim. Kyrie despite belief to the contrary is getting most of his assist from jump shots but I would rather see a higher amount of assist to the perimeter and closer in than mid range shots.
