Patrick McCaw

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Good question. I've never seen an offer sheet matched and the player waived a week later.

I do know that after an offer sheet is matched, that player cannot be traded to that team for an entire year.

My guess if there is a loophole there it will get fix after we exploit it. It will probably be a one time deal especially since a role player exploited it. If a star like LeBron or CP3 who also has pull with the players association did it though, it would probably would stay open.

You can never have enough 6’4 -6’8 wings on your roster!

Clarkson
Hood
Burks
Cedi
Nwaba
McCaw
Jones
Blossomgame
Jr

How could he develop on a team like GSW.
There is no playing time except garbage time

McCaw is the kind of player that Koby should be looking for. Finding a diamond under a rock would sure help the rebuild.

Well, Billy Preston was a diamond in the rough, but Koby just let him float on by. He’s supposed to be a young, raw LeBron, but Koby didn’t have the patience to develop him!

Problem with Preston was he truly was coal, not just a diamond in the rough, and was going to take 100 million years to develop into a diamond.

Doesnt seem like you ever watched the guy play. This guy looks like he never even watched an NBA game. I would expect a 5th grader with average athleticism who just watches an NBA game from time to time to know more what to do than this guy.

If you are referring to McCaw I don't think the Cavs really care too much. They are either doing the agent a favor by forcing GS's hand or just trying to stick it GS and their tax situation as much as possible.

Either way solid move, but no I don't think McCaw becomes much in the NBA.

Don't sweat catfish posts. There's a whole show on MTV about how he just uses the internet to lure people in, then he ends up being a creepy stalker who you went to high school with years ago.

McCaw overplayed his hand last offseason hoping for a better offer. To be fair, he had a nasty injury that really derailed his season before Quin Cook came in and shot lights out. This is a way to liberate a 23 year old combo guard who the Warriors were just going to let die on the vine all year as long as they didn't have injuries. I hear a lot of justification for all the Warriors actions and completely one sided coverage here in the Bay. I want McCaw to arrive in Cleveland, reveal all the Draymond and Klay are really assholes dirty laundry, and if he ends up a ninth man for the Cavs after the deadline, that's all gravy.

The more I think about this, the more I think GS is more likely not to match if they want to screw Mcaw over . If they match and waive him he is an UFA which is what he wants

I'm not sure McCaw is worth much more as a UFA and I'm not sure who actually has the money to pay him.

I think he is looking towards his next contract more than anything. He wants the chance to possibly get starter minutes and that isn't going to happen in Golden State.

Do we have a roster space available for him right now?

Edit just saw that we're at 14 so we have one more spot.

One by one, Dan Gilbert's master plan is beginning to bear fruit -- the transfer of the Golden State Warriors roster over to Cleveland.

I like

I like it if we get him. Not much money. Who knows what he will be. Most players need extended mins to improve. He will have them here. Stuck with warriors for two years. Must have some talent

In addition to Dell, and the other well-known connections like Kerr/Varejao/Bogut/Liv, we already got the JV Splash Brothers, and maybe should've held on to them. ;) One of them even beat the varsity crew for the first time in many tries the other day, on the road no less with another shot tonight at home...
