Did anyone ever watch the series Playmakers? It was a series on the lives of pro football players on and off the field and was aired on ESPN. Man do I love that show. I even bought the DVD and watch the entire show every year before Football season starts. (I usually end up watching it twice.) The action and drama on the show was great and was a true glued-to-your-seat thriller...ok not quite but it was a fantastic show.
Best episode by far was when Eric (the LB) went face to face with a lightning-fast QB (remake of Vick for sure). No one could cantain him, so the Head Coach makes him a shadow-man. Anyway he fiqures out during the week that he's screwed, so he challenges this QB to a street-ball game, trying to gain any advantage, trying to find any tendency. And he does. When this guy passes, he taps the ball. So during the game, and with all the media critizing him, and with the game on the line with about 2 minutes to play, he makes the play. Dude taps the ball, he gets there first and forces a fumble.
Also one of my favorite lines all time is said during the post-game. He recieves the game-ball, and Head Coach says to him "you had a target on your fore-head all week, and you stuck your man. Keep showing up."
Anyone watch it? Have it? Like it?
