So, it's Suggs' fault that his playing well wasn't enough for his team to win in the national championship game, but Cade gets a pass for playing like dog shit in the early rounds against lesser teams?

OK State was a really talented team. Cade flat out isn't a PG, he was just miscast and masquerading as one. He's a good shooter, but that's all he brings to the table.
I have no idea what you are so mad about lol
Suggs played his game and his game all season did not include Cade level shooting.
Suggs is a nice guard option in this draft but he is not top 3 lock despite his many
intangibles and winning ways.
I never claimed Cunningham was a point guard smh
sounds like somebody needs to take their frustrations out somewhere else because
I don't have any intentions of pretending Suggs teammates were somehow not
why he was overrated all season. I am not suggesting his performance in the
tournament was anything more than a reason for the hype train to crash

People are sleeping on Green in this poll... Long term I think he'll be the best player out of this class (and I think this class will produce several All-Stars in the future)
He's hands down the perimeter guy I trust the most. He's already shown he can make 3's at a high clip while playing under NBA rules.

I'm not mad at all. I just really confused by everything you're saying.

Nobody ever said Suggs was a top 3 lock. In fact, I explicitly said the contrary.

Cade is heralded as a guy who can run the offense, which is why he's so highly rated. Really though, he's just a shooter. He didn't create assists at a high rate, the opposite occurred.

I'm also really confused how Suggs stepping up his game when his teammates were struggling equates to him being exposed.

If you want to rate Cunningham ahead of him, fine, you're in the majority there. The reasoning behind it really doesn't line up though.

I have Green as #2 right after Mobley....wouldn’t shock me at all if he ends the best in class. My early pick for ROY. This guy is going to score in the NBA, period.

Not just here, Green is considered at #3 to #5 in a host of sportswriters' big boards. But I really like this guy, and feel that he has the potential to be the best in this draft class.

1. Mobley
2. Green
3. Suggs

without regard for what Cavs need

1. Mobley
2. Green
3. Kuminga

if considering what Cavs need

1. Mobley
2. Kuminga
3. Barnes

just going off my personal preference and projection for best pros

This site has a lot of Cade supproters...

can't say that i'm not disappointed. Expected more from fellow Cavs fans

I'm just curious how Suggs was "exposed" by shooting over 50% from the floor and over 40% on 3's in the Elite 8-Final 4-Finals while averaging almost 20 ppg while Cade gets a pass for shooting 9-34 from the floor and 6-19 from deep with just 4 assists and 5 turnovers against Liberty and Oregon State.

With Suggs.....I don't doubt that he is an NBA player.......what I struggle with is is he going to be a great one?

I just have so much trouble selecting a guard I think will merely be good or really good. There's just too many of them.

Large sample size intimates he may have just plateaued as a 3 point shooter. Certainly possible he can break through there but he has generally hovered at the same level (33-34%) over a large swath of time / competitions. And he's also a very average FT shooter for a guard in the mid 70's.

The path to stardom just seems more likely for someone like Cade......relative to his position and shooting markers. I don't know that either is a bet to be a star......I think they are both probably in that "will be good" outcome pool......but I'd rather have the big wing in that scenario, that has 40/85 shooting splits and mechanics that look very repeatable.

Cade certainly has his warts......but I'm taking a profile like his at SF over a profile like Suggs, at point guard, 10 times out of 10. Does it mean you will be right 100% of the time? No......but in the top 5, I am more star averse and I just don't believe Suggs profiles like a star guard typically does.

I voted for Green, Mobley, Cade. To me, that is the clear top 3. You want one of those 3 profiles if you can get them.

I had Cade lower than most, but have him at 3 behind Mobley and Green currently . I was underwhelmed with his college play and I do think he’s being overrated by national writers....but I can’t ignore that combination of size/ball handling/scoring. I don’t like him #1 over Mobley or Green, but I get it. Good fit for our roster too.

People are sleeping on Kuminga. Lower floor than others in the top 5 due to his shooting , but arguably highest ceiling in the draft. Reliable jumper away from being a 2-way stud with star upside.

Agreed. I love Kuminga's potential, but his jumper is just really far away and so I'd say his median outcome is lower than the others in the top 5. It was down to Suggs and Cade for me, with Mobley and Green as firmly top 3.

I went with Cade just because his size makes the game so much easier. He doesn't need to be nearly as skilled to make a big impact on the game. Combine that with his nba ready jumper and his median outcome is probably pretty decent. If Suggs ends up as good as Cade, he'll still have a lower impact on the game just based on positional value.

Who would win 1-on-1 right now between Cade and Kuminga? I think it'd probably be close, but Cade would be shooting a lot of contested jumpers while Kuminga would be getting into the lane. Factor in that Kuminga's more than a full year younger than Cade, and I think his long-term potential is much more exciting.

I'll be honest......I watch Kuminga's tape......and I see a guy who can't dribble and can't shoot.

I really do not understand why he is so valued in a draft like this.

He seems like the biggest bust candidate, by a long shot, out of the top 10 players of this draft.

I don't see how he can be any worse than Keon, who's basically a shorter, older version of Kuminga.

While Kuminga is pretty raw, he does some things that I think are very promising for a player his age. Most importantly, he gets to the rim and draws fouls quite a lot, both compared to his teammates and compared to other top G-League players. Secondly, he's at least an adequate passer, which hints at future potential to make the high-percentage play on those dribble drives. And finally, I think he projects to be at least an average positional defender, which will make it easier to keep him on the court while his offensive game gradually develops.

Kuminga has all the tools to be an elite-level two-way player he is basically the Jayson Oweh of the NBA draft
